Current M2 owners, please understand that your vehicle is perfect, you're not losing anything just because BMW is releasing a new product.
I WAS hoping the M2C would be a better track weapon but objectively it's not...it's becoming a gran tourer. First of all LESS weight is the goal of virtually all builders....this model is over 100 lbs heavier. Second, who the F thought that full size seats with no harness holes and a flush built in headrest is best for track. Finally, the 400mm brake rotors will probably take away our 18 inch wheel/tire options....the staggered 19 factory set up has no great track tire options. So, this is not the move forward many of us were hoping to see...it's a shine and show build.

I picked up my MG 6MT in December 2016 and have no plans to upgrade. With MG being discontinued maybe I will one day have something unique.

The only place my 2018 is going is back and forth to work, as well as some excursions. Since the 2018 was on the edge of what I wanted to pay for a car, I'm sure the M2C will be priced out of my comfort zone (I still have to eat!). Besides, I love driving that car, and that won't change, with or without the M2C.

This is exactly my thoughts on my 2017. I love it and don't think I will be needing more power....

There is always a faster/better model on the horizon. My e39 M5 is very outdated, but it's still the best car I've ever driven. If I bought a new car everytime something was updated, I'd be bankrupt and probably neurotic.

I still have my e36 that I bought 21 years ago. I’m in it for the long haul. I’ll keep my 2017 for a looooong time.

I took ownership of my 2018 M2 in February, and yeah I have a little buyers remorse with the CS coming out soon. I'm jealous at the 40 more horsepower. I'm jealous of the new seats and the M1/M2 buttons on the steering wheel. I'm jealous of the front parking sensor (I know...I know...but dude my preciousssss!). But in the end, what salves that remorse are a few things.

1) I love love love the mineral gray on my car. No mineral gray on the CS.
2) I love the sound of the N55. The S55 sounds like a sick chainsaw.

And I love the way the car drives. It makes me so happy*. So no, not planning to trade it in.

*Except cruising on the highway long distance, even in comfort, is so stupid loud thanks to the ASD. Come on, going 80 without accelerating...should be quieter.

Get BimmerCode and a $20 Bluetooth OBDII adapter from Amazon and code out ASD. At least that’s an easy fix!

Or get the Technic ASD delete harness. The car is a pleasure with ASD removed.

Just drove 4 hr straight from Vegas to LA and all I can say is the M2 is truly a pleasure to use. The seats was supportive throughout. Being able to change the bolster and lumbar support is such a big plus. The heated seats were useful as well. And I found out that my car will ask me if I wanted to take a break and have coffee, I guess because I was driving for so Long.

The only thing the comp has that I would like is the engine, seats & mirrors. other than that I like the rest of my car better. So I am going to tune it, get the mirrors somehow and maybe front F80/82 seats

Aren’t there a few folks who have swapped out the F8X seats already? I think there are...and I’m sure there will be a path for the mirrors as well.

That’s because it recognizes your high level of skill as a driver.

Surprised you could drive long enough on a single tank where this message is necessary. Doesn't turning off the engine to refuel count as a break?

I was full tanked leaving Vegas and I had about a quarter left getting home around Southbay. Averaging a bit more than the speed limit ;-). Driving in comfort with traction off for burble sweetness using dct manual mode. At times I would push the sport plus button and drop three gears to experience boost and loads of fun up to 1xx mph until my conscience bothers me. No complains here regarding MPG. Maybe this is another benefit of the N55. Time to clean the baby M2 and remove the pesky dead insects. lol

My 1987 Audi Coupe did that every 2 hours. Minus the nice graphics and suggested stops.

Though my 1997 E36M3 and 2008 X5 didn't have this feature.
