Torque with studs and spacers?

Just got some apex wheels and will be pairing them with a set of studs all around and 12mm spacers up front. Does this impact the required torque settings on the wheel nuts?

Also, on a side note, all of my wheel weights fell of the wheels....while sitting unmounted in a warm storage unit. I haven't even mounted the wheels yet

. I guess better than while on track. Anyone have experience / suggestions on using any kind of tape over the weights to make sure they stay on while on track?

Inertia should _mostly_ be on your side at the track, as the weights are being pushed against the wheel. I haven’t had my M2 on the track, but I’ve used duct tape on my motorcycle to hold the weights on at track days many times, never had one come off.

Lots of people use HVAC tape on top of the stick on wheel weights. Works well.

+1 on HVAC tape but man the brakes get hot and many times I have the weights unstick. Really need cooling ducts - maybe the CS will have some control arm-mounted ones we can swipe ?

102.5 lb ft if you stayed with the 14x1.25 studs

Thanks, all questions answered, aluminum HVAC tape ordered and wheel/tire/studs installed this evening.

Now dealing with some rubbing issues, but that's for another thread.

We would recommend torque spec for the studs to the hub be no more than 25ft lbs. Then when torquing the wheels to the car, you can use the manufacturer recommended 103ft lbs.

YOU MUST USE A TORQUE WRENCH when installing the studs. Torque the stud itself between 22 & 25 ft/lbs (24 ft/lbs / 288 in/lbs / 32 Nm) into the hub. DO NOT OVER-TORQUE! This is only “hand tight” and is normal.

Over-torquing can lead to stress fractures and shearing of the stud. Do not use an impact gun to remove the wheel nuts, we would recommend a breaker bar first to loosen the nuts then use an impact gun to remove the nut from the stud.

Wheel hardware is a wear item and should be changed every 1-2 years depending on frequency of use!
