It doesn't do the same time. Don't get confused between European and U.S. 0-60 mph and 0-62 kph times.

Def M2, you can't get Gt350 unless 10k over MSRP and even at that mark up, most, if not all, of 2016 GT350 production is sold out.

Having owned both as well and the design of the Fx is so much better in my opinion. Quality is similar. The interior of my E90 was the only thing I disliked in that car.

DC/VA/MD is BMW-land. not sure where they're all hiding, but given what I've seen, plus what they've mentioned about specifically NOT limiting production, I see absolutely no reason to believe there will be a 1 year wait OR that we'll see these by the dozen daily.
I guess southern California is more bmw-land than DMV. I see plenty of 2 series. Not all day everyday, but way more than what you see. Even here it was hard to get an M235i when they first launched. The M2 will be in short supply. I think at this point, you're either already on a dealer waitlist, or you're hunting for a hidden allocation at some Podunk town BMW dealership, or you're buying from a dealer that insists on a $5-10k markup, so anyone on a waitlist told them to go shit on their own mothers.

How many of these do you think we are going to get? If the largest dealerships in the US were getting 2 M235i's a month at first, and people were waiting 2-3 months for an allocation, what do you think is going to be the case with the M2 that is being produced in MUCH smaller numbers?
interesting. def way diff there than here - I was shocked and pleasantly surprised that the 2er is a rare sighting around here. I still get head turns.

I guess we also have something like 20 BMW dealerships within 60 miles (prob not dissimilar to you). and with another year and a half to go on my 228i, even if I have to wait a year, I can time it so that it'll all happen at the right timing. I do agree that anyone who isn't on a list now and wants one ASAP will have to wait a bit. but we shall see :-)

That would be confusing.

It's 0 to 100 kph or 62 mph in Europe.

This is interesting. The Gt350s engine is the closest thing to a direct injected, bored/stroked S65 (read: much more torque) as anything in production. I loved the S65. Responsive, powerful and ballistic above 6k/rpm. Oh and the sound....

I wouldn't have counted myself as a domestic buyer and have never been in love with the Vette...but man, the GT350 is compelling.

If you're a track rat (which I'm not), I imagine it's even more compelling. I suspect the M2 finds itself in limp mode long before the GT350 runs out of gas.

- I like it. A lot.
With good snow tires, the M2 should do fine in the winter. I drove my E86 Z4C through Boston's snowpocalypse without any problems.

I did a coupla weeks ago. Have an e36m3 for the track , M4 and 30jahre m5 for the road but won't valet and park them miles from where I'm going to.
I too have Dinan stage II and wanted a "softer" ride for my DD and not afraid to park it. I have all the comforts (fully loaded) and type of power I can use on the street with my coffee mug. The $10 grand savings has been already spent on my track car........

I was excited to see these until I realized there are no pics of under the front of the car. Want to see if the M2 has an oil cooler located under the front bumper like the M3/4.

I agree with you, I have an E90 M3 and an F30 M sport in the driveway. The lower door portions on the F30 are plastic grade right out of a Prius. . . maybe even worse. (I have a 2010 Prius as well).

- Carpet on the F30 is thin as hell and feels like it can be lifted off without much effor

- The dash is just so-so, the actual grade of plastic/rubber composite they used definitely feels cheaper than the E90
