M4 CSL, maybe - in the distant future. Save all you can cuz it'll cost big.
IMO, of course.

There are two CSL's coming... Performance Compliance Cars no doubt.

I'll personally want the M2 CSL - Turbo 4 cylinder w/ e-Drive...

Just to be clear, in case anyone is listening, there are two m235 convertible owners that would go the m2 convertible in a heartbeat!
If we keep saying it, maybe it will happen! (That's how the E36 M3 sedan happened.). BTW, my E46 is getting a major upgrade this winter - lightweight flywheel and racing clutch, shifter from a M535, Shark Injector, Borla exhaust, and fresh Bilstein Sports. Can't wait to get on track this spring!

And I think the article clarifies it.

Total BS - just like the BS from BMW about the roadster category dying.

There has been a business case for a convertible M car for every model of M3.

Once again, the fact that production for this car is so difficult likely highlights why they would not make a convertible. More cars removed from the line to fit parts = more delays to the line than just creating the M2.
I agree. But it seems clear as day.

With the entire auto industry deep in cost cutting and globalization I seriously doubt this car will ever see production.
It costs very little to make another variant of the same model. Hence we have 14 different 3/4 series shapes .

I bet that there could be an issue with convertible chassis bracing since the m2 suspension points are different than an m235.

I'd personally prefer the Vert M2, but I am swallowing the thought and redirecting my focus to the obvious choice, the M2 Coupe.

A moonroof will be a given. I guess I will not feel like I sinned because of a lack of CF Roof.

You are spot on. They added that bracing and it is very nicely done indeed. Personally having owned a 1er Vert I understand clearly what you are outlining here.
