I coded ID5 to ID6 and it works well BUT I get a 3 or 5 series picture of a car on the tiles rather than a coupe. My OCD will not allow me to leave it like that so I reverted to ID5.

Any ideas how to rectify it? Or are people just living with it?

With each firmware release, new images are included. No way to simply code in correct car.

I see. Ive just set the 'my car' menu to include 'detailed' info rather than 'simplified' via the idrive settings and that gets rid of the picture of the car and displays stats, mpg etc. I can live with that

I'm guessing when the MY18 M2s with ID 6 roll out, there might be an update with the correct icons among other things?

Likely. July firmware has F22; I am not sure if F87 is present yet.

Anyone find a setting to enable CarPlay toggle like in id5. I saw a video that showed a side tab with CarPlay symbol you could tap but that was on a touch screen version of id6.

That comes back in newer version of firmware.

3.62 is latest (July release). Many have success, though sometimes you have to pay for it. Dealer must be paid for services either directly from client or reimbursed by BMW.

Yes. When dealer does update it will essentially VO Code all the modules.

Well unit was updated yesterday. I have the CarPlay symbol back and now the live tile shows a 2 series. At least it a 2 door car now
