Edit: Search the Internet, "bms intake cel". Only did a quick read but look like unless you lie to the computer about what other sensors are saying you will continue to have the CEL. For example... http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1079423, see post #5 http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...=950230&page=2, see post #39 & #69. Somewhere I also read about a Stage 1 and no problems but that's just more good money after bad. And the final solution... http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...bms+intake+cel Last edited by omasou; 07-16-2016 at 09:41 PM.. |

Please elaborate! How much stronger does the car feel on Map 1? This deserves a separate thread!

This stuff happens. They can't guarantee anything, I do realize that. I was just surprised that in our email conversations, they said that the code I and others threw, is impossible with their intake. Their suggestion was to try a different OBD2 scanner. Which I did, with the same result. Their products are solid; I loved the combo of their intake and JB4 on my old e90 335; I guess the ///M2 is just still too new and there are too few out there for solid R&D... Ok enough. I'm content with the stock airbox...for now -c

With JB4 you can run MAF-less. The way the car should have came from the factory like the N54. Idle is much smoother |

I'm just waiting on some new firmware and will log until then. The features of the F series JB4 with OBDII are awesome though. |

So I read this thread after ordering the BMS intake, I thought might as well install it since its already here, so far 3 days about 150km no cel. my cars stock dsg with MP exhaust. it sounds great with the intake installed.

I find it interesting that BMS refuses to acknowledge the issue. I also find it interesting that Terry doesn't post here. He used to be all over the 1addicts.

I'd like to give the smaller shops the benefit of doubt and a fair shot at my business, but clearly they have no intentions of making new customers.

them post here. If you want to communicate with them directly just shoot them an email or post on the tech forums. FYI Jason@BMS handles intake development. In regards to your fault code it might just be that a JB4 is required to run an intake on an M2. If you don't want to run a JB4 and its causing a fault code on your car I'm sure they will be happy to let you return it. Mike |
