Update:
After a day of driving with the stock airbox, CEL went away, as well as the rough idle. Still have hope for BMS providing a fix/explanation. But I cannot drive a car like this with a CEL (drives me nuts), so for now, stock airbox it is... -c

I just reinstalled my stock intake and the CEL has gone away. I emailed BMS and they have no idea why it would generate a CEL. Especially with that error code. Unfortunate because it appears to be a well engineered piece. Looks and sounds good. I don't like CELs though.

Guys. We all know this is a common issue throughout all the intakes on the F series N55. Did anyone actually enable mafless idle on their Jb4?
At idle, the larger reading of air flow causes the stock maf sensor to over/under compensate. Causing a rough idle with any intake that provides a drastic amount of flow difference. What Terry did with the Jb4 was basically tell the car to run full closed loop at idle, just like the n54. It just runs off the 02 wideband sensor. Therefor the car is just idling happily, when off boost and under vaccum the car is smoother and less "lurchey". This is done through canbus via OBII included with the F series JB4. Just a firmware update. I will be installing tomorrow with the MAF connected. Then I will install my JB4 later tomorrow, run mafless and then will provide feedback. |

Testing begins
Update: just ran the car hard for about 30-40 miles. No codes or rough idle. That being said I'm catless and it didn't throw a code yet after clearing them before startup. So we will see what comes about after another drive. The sound is just....awesome |

Update.
Just returned from another drive. My catless code just came back so that is good. Meaning the car has had plenty of time to register any intake issues. It appears we have a glitch in the matrix. Very strange code! Codes: P120D: this is intake related P0420: this is a normal catless code I'll install JB4 and run mafless and will let you all know. For now. A stock car with the vaccum line installed throws a code due to the intake. So will other intakes. Hopefully we can get some suggestions from Terry. This is such a silly code to be getting. |

FYI, I spoke with them and they don't recommend anything past map 1 for the M2 until they have the appropriate software for it.

They also told me their intake won't throw a cel. They are pretty inconsistent. |

I am looking forward to everyone's review of the JB4/M2 application.
