For anyone that's sat with their N55 car in the heat, for even 20-30 minutes on a hot summer day, the IATs climb to 30-50 over ambient easily. And that's with a closed system, this looks like it'll love sucking in the engine heat!

Any Dyno charts out there? I'm a non believer in performance gains, but i'm happy to be proven wrong.
I've just saw the Eventuri in real life. Man it looks awesome! It's the only possibility to drive an street legal intake here in Switzerland. Expensive but awesome. |

Make the intake more effective by adding Pure Inlet Pipe
Just added one of these to my EWG n55 c/w Dinan CAI.
My feedback on page 3 of this thread and correlates well with Pure's own dyno results on 1st page of the same thread. IAT's down, throttle response better and sounds naughtier on ~ 70% and above throttle esp in sport + mode !!!

So are there any dyno graphs for this intake yet? I'm curious to see what the delta is for hp/tq as well as weight compared to other manufacturers.
It sure does look good though! |

I think this unit comes with a piece that replaces the lower air box but still routes the outside air up and under the front of the intake, which if correct helps but I'm still surprised there isn't the typical shielding to block the hot engine air. My only guess is b/c it would ruin the aesthetics. |

Still unanswered, what are the performance gains? Surely in the making of this was something that was tested for? How do you test for a good intake system without putting it on a dyno at some point?

Aftermarket intakes are almost entirely about cosmetics now. This one happens to be gorgeous, in my opinion, but that's in the eye of the beholder. |

I would love to own it if all it changed was looks and sound, but I drive my M2 pretty hard, throttling from overheating is not something I want to pay $1500 for. I'd like to see some kind of numbers of how it performs when tested, dyno or avg air intake temps compared to stock on a track, anything at all really. |

Google it, lots of videos of it on the web including at least one showing a complete install. Not sure I could live with the woosh poo sound for every gear...

Not sure why Eventuri can't put the numbers out there if their product is so great. |

I like how the filter is easily accessible in the engine bay (as long as it truly can stay cool). Beats having to take off the bumper to clean/replace the filter like traditional CAIs.

Intakes on a car like the M2 are about sound and looks, not hp. Even Dinan's intake claims 8hp and 6 ft. lbs. Not nothing, but not a lot...The absence of similar numbers, plus no heat measurements, in published data make me suspect that Eventuri's unit is mostly about eye and ear candy, at best. |
