I'm just waiting on some new firmware and will log until then. The features of the F series JB4 with OBDII are awesome though.
With the F Series map1 is additive so map1 will run around 4psi over your stock M2 tuning. Since the stock M2 tuning is so aggressive BMS suggests at least 93 octane for map1. For those on 91 octane right now they suggest map4 which is basically the stock M2 tuning only with the JB4 features active like the in dash boost guage, CANflap, etc.

In regards to your fault code it might just be that a JB4 is required to run an intake on an M2. If you don't want to run a JB4 and its causing a fault code on your car I'm sure they will be happy to let you return it.

Hey Mike, that makes sense. I got my 135 in 2008 and used to religiously read the forums (as I do now with my M2). I stopped following that scene after about a year so was unaware that they had dropped sponsorship.

Hopefully the guys that have taken the plunge and have experienced the CEL can get some help. I think they are 3 for 3 if my count is correct. That seems to be a bit more than coincidental.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Mike!

I did about 800 miles in the car on pump 93 on map 1. Overall the f series jb4 is really impressive coming from the G5 iso. I love the options, almost simplified in a good way.

Feel: The mid range is where you feel map 1 do its thing. More aggressive targets although the taper towards redline is more pronounced now. We deff have some smoothing to do but I'm sure that will come soon. I have a feeling a little e85 mix around e30 with be great the way it is now.

I'm excited to see what the future holds and I'm ready for Pure STG2.

Map 1 jb4 is running great. I'm also running mafless and the idle/under vaccum cruising speeds are much smoother.

On map 1 it's hitting 19.4psi vs 15. And tapering to around 16 vs 10psi. Map 2 on e30 should be equal to an FBO m235i on map7 or more. Target wise.

Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on the jb4, or wait for the Dinan. No one else is bold enough to release their tunes.

Between the two. Value for money. Or just features/"tuneability" it's JB4. Leave it and forget, Dinan.

I want to run this intake but the CEL bugs me. For anyone running it. Any down fall besides the light turning on such as the car going into limp mode etc? Was considering running the Awron Delete-R to Pair with this.
