Washing a coating

Anyone know what the procedure is supposed to be? Besides locking the car away for two weeks (which they do not tell you to do, so I assume is not necessary).
Which coating? I know that some suggest no water for 24 hours and then not to use anything harsh on them for the two weeks.

Is there anything I should be using to maintain xpel ultimate? Or do I just need to regularly wash the car?

I topped all my xpel with Reload, as I hear they play very well together. Just don't use anything with naptha or kerosene.

typically we tell our coating customers not to wash their cars for 7-14 days, after that you can wash the car to your liking, we also provide a complimentary car wash to ensure the coating is on and done perfectly. If touch ups are needed then we do it during the first wash.

Ceramic Pro. Was told no washing for two weeks... but get water off as soon as possible if it gets wet in that time. How do get the water off without washing but also without scratching is the challenge.

I had my car opticoated two weeks ago. At some point last week, the front end was sprayed with a sprinkler and the water dried creating water spots. Any recommendations on removing the water spots out of the opticoat?

Thanks DetailersDomain . Went with Adam's foam cannon and shampoo. Just got it in the mail yesterday and look forward to trying it out soon.

Let us know when you're done testing. Can always add to the arsenal. Thanks again!

I am curious about temperature and humidity affects when applying Ceramic Pro....the shop that did my install of sunteck clear bra (they did an excellent job) says they can apply the ceramic pro in 85-90 degree temps (low humidity),,,any concerns you would have with that...they are very experienced and highly rated, but just a little concerned as the Ceramic Pro website says it is supposed to be applied in 60-80 temps.

Not sure if this has been covered yet, but what microfiber towels do you recommend to use with a quick detailer?

we don't offer ceramic pro but most of the time the car will not be grounded you want to stay away from washing the car for 5-10 days depending on weather and how hot it is.

some will love the thicker towels.

Uber Quick Detail Towels
Uber No Name MF Towels
Uber Classics

But at the shop we tend to like the thinner towels like the Uber All Purpose

I'm planning on getting Xpel PPF. My car will be sitting in the sun a lot. What can I do to put some UV protection for the paint?

you can use a silica based spray sealant on the car.

we have been using the Nanolex SiFinish with great results. (every 1-3 months)

in between washes we use Kenotek Showroom Shine. (we use this after each wash)

I visited the shop the other day I'm planning on using for Xpel Ulitmate installation.. They are a certified installer and one of only 2 in my state, and have done many cars, including exotics and M2s and are a very well reviewed full service detailing shop.

They told me yesterday that after cleaning the surface, they apply a layer of Colinite wax to the panels to be covered, and then install the film. When pressed, they say they do it that way, despite it not being according to the book, so that the film becomes a little easier to remove and to lessen the risk of pulling paint.

Anybody done it this way? Results?

Thank you. I'm local. Are all these products in stock so I can pick up in person?
