Hope they are as I am planning on doing the retrofit. Not sure if it's plug and play or if some slight coding has to be done and if there is a different cable socket.

AU pricing released today I'm told, standard car up $400 (if optioned to MY17 spec with alarm, seat lumbar/heating actual increase roughly $2500), Pure is up approx $3K.

Well that was disappointing considering the LCI is basically the same.

M2 price goes up, M4 price goes down. I wonder which car they're selling more of!

Just another money grab by BMW.

The M3 Pure is cheaper. As is the M4 Pure. But the regular models aren't cheaper, are they?

Besides the M2 is the car I want.

New to this forum.

Wondering:

1) if the LCI indeed gets the digital speedo here as in
(around 1:25 mark)?
2) is there still no discounting for M2s, so don't even bother trying?
3) can Apple CarPlay be coded later (Genius has said yes but I would like to double check).
4) what's the wait time like?
5) what sort of ball park for the following would I be looking at; LCI, DCT, white, alarm, sunroof, seat heating, lumbar, CarPlay? $115k-ish?

Thanks in advance.

I can ask dealers but I don't want to yet, as I am still tossing up a few things and don't want to waste their time tyre kicking until I am sure and have done my research.

1. I don't believe the speedo is digital. Merely backlit.

On the missus 125i with the same pre LCI speedo, setting headlights to auto means the speedo backlight comes on automatically and I've never really had visibility issues.

Part of the dash display is already digital - lower half plus the dynamic fuel consumption meter.

2. There were some discounts for the ones being delivered pre LCI. but if you want to be first with the LCI, maybe not as much.

3. CarPlay seems to be a factory option. Not sure if it can be coded later. Personally have no issues with the standard UI

4. Wait time depends on whether the dealer can get an allocation. The Australian dealers seem to have wised up and are now Pre booking allocations ahead of orders. Then they swap/trade slots with other dealers - ensuring they always have one ready when they get an order. This was preLCI. Not sure if it still holds after.

I booked in April, manufactured in May and left Germany end May - the ship is scheduled to dock in Brisbane on the 6th of July.

Dealer just called to let me know he might have a cancelled order for me to purchase.

Congrats mate! When I was ordering the car earlier this year I was offered May production as well, but I won't get full license until August: So I happily (though getting more impatient day by day) went for a Sep slot. Still long time to go...

There definitely are a few demos and Low Ks M2s out there, so we have discussed a fair price , as I have a 30 year relationship with this dealer..

Exactly mate, Or I might just wait, as dealer has two LBB LCI arriving in October, which I can spec up to suit.

But it's likely
A. The LCI prices are less negotiable
B. There's a price hike on the M2 model
C. There's less stuff as standard on the M2 model.

For anyone interested (and sorry if anyone has already posted this), the pricing for LCI is out - M2 $99,900;M2 Pure $93,300.
Cheers.

Cheers.

Interesting that the Pure has had a larger price increase than the loaded model.

Yeah, not to mention with Pure you can't option Steering wheel heating, Lumbar support, or Seat heating.

EDIT: On a second thought, it makes sense, because some standard features are now options instead of standard. And those 3 weren't available for the Pure anyway.
Also, David.m already indicated the pricing in post #46.

Doesn't the regular M2 now have fewer options as standard?

Note that as the Pure gets the standard Bi-LED lights it retains the round daytime lights (and non-LED turn indicator I think).
Here's a recap of what's taken out from the standard M2 LCI
