Will an M Performance Exhaust be available for the M2c?

Will there be any other M performance parts available as well?

1. How much lighter is option wheels compared to the standard 437M?
2. How much heavier is the larger brakes system?

As fuel consumption has increased with the M2 Competition: was a bigger fuel tank than the modest ± 52 liter tank considered ? Was it too expensive or even materially impossible (space issue) to integrate a bigger sized fuel tank ? (let's forget for a moment that a bigger fuel tank = increased weight figure, as 90% fluids are calculated for the unladen DIN/EU figure).

As the M2 Competition allows more personalization/customization, was it considered to allow rev-match to be toggled on/off. As commented in another post, BMW could (have) use(d) that blank button on the center console to toggle rev-match on/off for the 6MT. Like the "SPORT" button in the Cayman GT4:

What if the future model gets adaptive suspension? What happens then?

I would suggest to all the hobbyist with a manual M2C, order the order unit from the M3/M4 and code the button.

Seems to be a lot of confusion over the M Sport seats.

The BMW USA press release states the M Sport seats are standard while the Global press release states they are optional. Can you please inform us which features (not just seats) will be standard for the US market?

Nürburgring lap time?

Surely with all the improvements it should be in the 7:3x bracket

Also,

How does the new (upgraded brake) 2NH option compare to the standard brakes on F80, F87, etc...which are very good, IMO.

In terms of: Size, performance, and weight - unsprung weight on all four corners.

TIA!

I can only imagine what that would cost.

M3 CS ran 7:38 with R-comp tires. No way M2C will run in 7:3x.

Is the steering tuning the same as in M2, m3/4/zcp or bespoke to M2c?

What is different about it?

My guess was premised on a rumour back in 2016 that M already tested the M2 with the S55 engine and it was 8 seconds faster than the M4 which itself ran a 7:52.

Surely with all those revised engineering on the chassis and monster brakes it should at least cut a couple more seconds off the previous.

Hoping though, hoping

Even if it can get into 7:3x with R-Comp tires, I don't think BMW would officially confirm it just to protect M3/M4 CS.

A 7:39 then

Actually the M4CS was released last year and the M3CS is for a different demographic so may be they will go the Porsche route and at least equal the CS’s time.

As the M2 Competition does not feature the Adaptive M Suspension (BMW code 2VF) the middle button become a blank. The suggestion was that, for this model, BMW could have replaced the blank by a button to toggle rev-match on/off.

Tag, here's another question for Beijing: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5#post23086285

Risk to get a "no comment" or "it's our policy not to discuss possible future models" answer: high.

In 2015 (no typo) an M2 test mule with an S55 engine was over 8 seconds faster than an M4 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (which would mean close to a 7:43 lap time) (see here).

But the M2 Competition is 2018 and not necessarily that 2015 test mule version.
