Could it not be possible that some of the test mules are not running production interior if their sole purpose is to test suspension set up? At the end of the day the driving dynamics wouldn't be affected by seat material and stitching colour. Would make a lot of sense production wise though if they shared the seats from the M3/4

I'm just more interested in the brakes and suspension upgrades that the M2 will get. Personally, I can feel a difference between the M235i and M2 EPS, although this was noticed the Performance Center. I think an M2 with catless downpipes and a light tune would be more than enough for my DD needs

Suppose so. The manufacturing process will be the same though. Thread colour will be one of the easiest swaps they can do. 95% chance it will be final though. Wonder how much feedback on aesthetics the test drivers give, or whether they just leave it to a separate team that reviews material and colour choice.

just want to get some more pics with less camo, and some interior shots. but getting very excited, especially that BMW is testing it on our side of the pond.

Thanks for posting this, BTW. Very nice find.
I'm still not sure why, at this late date, the car is a Laguna Seca. My guess is they are going to test the performance of the car at every course where the car may be tracked . Just to make sure there are no surprises. As an aside, the car was spotted, just now, on 101 at Prunedale headed North. Probably to SF airport. Had a couple of X5s with him. |

- Going to the beach this weekend - Work on the M3's the weekend after that - Will be busy the rest of July at work - Going on vacation for a week in beginning of August Surely by then, the car will be revealed online Got plenty to keep myself busy, or otherwise I would go insane because of this car

I just had a track day on 6/12 there, and vacationed the week leading in to it in the area. Too bad I missed the M2. Did you time his laps by any chance? Curious to see what a stock M2 can do at LS. Right now I am driving a track oriented e30 M3, but I am getting to the point where I would like something more civil, if it can still perform the same or better.

To be honest, I've never used it on any of my BMW's. Never felt natural to me. If I do use them, it would just be one click, so it doesn't do a huge difference.
