200mph speedometer

According to the press releases, the M2 has a 200mph speedometer. However, this picture shows 180? Any idea? http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...rience/m2.aspx

Lol...press get things wrong. Silly to have a 200 mph speedo on a car that will only do 155.

Hopefully no one tries to test this out in the first month.

Yikes! I drove almost 150 mph on the autobahn and that was noticeably faster than 120, it was an adrenalin rush. I can only imagine what the difference between 150 and 186 would feel like!

Yeah definitely starts to get exponentially worse...

I pegged a 120i about 240km/h a few years back when my ex and I were coming back from visiting her sister in Berlin. On our way back to Hanover... then I stopped paying attention and this happened:

I am just kidding of course... there was a 263 car pile up on the A2 in 2009, (I was not driving that fast when it happened) but there was an Audi infront of me that didn't see the wrecked ford, he swerved into the shoulder and I went after him to avoid the wreck, but he hit the center divide, and I slammed into him.

Was not fun times.

This was the news article on it

http://www.welt.de/vermischtes/artic...uf-der-A2.html Even if you cant read it, the gallery is kind of cool.

Once I was driving from Switzerland to Amsterdam through Germany. I was driving a Nissan turbo at about 240 kph and the Mercedes 190 that was tailing me blew up! There was black smoke everywhere. When driving the autobahn you really have to stay alert, things happen fast. I'm lucky I never got caught in one of those big pile ups.

Definitely, at those speeds you pretty much have to be constantly planning for events to happen and not passively just driving along.
