I think the poll results reflect what people would like to have on their car, not what they are actually willing to pay for. I don't think we'll see >50% of M2s with non-blue calipers.

I swear I remember seeing a price/options for different color calipers (same brakes) when I was getting my '11 135. But never came to fruition. I think the price was $595 or $695.
I'd pay that for the option. I think many would too.

Cadillac was optional caliper colors for $595. Seems we keep seeing those yellow, red and orange calipers displayed, but no option to buy those.

That's roughly the same price it would cost yourself to have them powdercoated professionally. Give or take a few hundred dollars.

"If" I can land an M2 this summer It'll be MG and Orange brakes. If all that is available is LBB then gold it is.

They are sold as a kit with calipers and dimpled discs for NON-M cars for about $2000.
If you buy them as spare parts (just calipers) the MSRP in Germany is around €600 per caliper.

Personally, after driving down and seeing the M2 next to the ZCP F80 at the DC auto show last weekend, I think that the CCB color on the LBB M2 brakes would be killer.

I wouldn't buy any of those off the shelf calipers, but have a place like IND or somewhere professionally pc them to your liking.

Those off the shelf 'yellow' ones are a different shade than the gold in the CCBs if I'm not mistaken??

For your info, here's the reply that my dealer recently got from BMW regarding my query about M Performance calipers for the M2 in yellow/orange/red:
"M Performance brake kits exist for the M235i featuring calipers in yellow, orange or red.
However, the M2 has a different brake system (derived from the M3) and, hence, only the blue calipers fitted at the factory are available [for the M2].
As regards brakes, nothing is scheduled at M Performance for the M2."
For the record (http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...fficiency.html):
"The perforated, ventilated brake disc rings (front 380 mm, rear 370 mm) with four-piston fixed callipers at the front and two-piston fixed callipers at the rear ensure optimal responsiveness in wet conditions and improve heat dissipation. The Blue metallic brake callipers with the characteristic M logo strongly emphasise the brake discs' sporty appearance and distinct, authentic M design."

Not sure I care about the dimpled calipers on the M2.

I will consider the StopTech® AeroRotor® Replacement Kits (ARK) for the M2. Since the M2 brakes are the same as the F80 M3/M4, they should be a direct replacement. This kit is designed to replace our vehicle's original factory rotors, while retaining the factory brake calipers.

The only issue I have with this arrangement is that they do not offer anything for the rears due to eBrake placement. Although the ARK is the same diameter and thickness as the factory rotors, it offers improved cooling, braking, and handling.

Those are called rotors, and they are not dimpled.

You are correct!!! I meant to write 'rotors' and it came out calipers. If the word is not 'dimpled' then what is the correct description?

Sigh, I've said it is just the M235i kit for months and the calipers are identical and will fit...

Drilled on the M2 and dimpled/slotted on the M Performance Brake Kit.
