M2 Order Bank for USA is now open. HEA's allocated!

My CA called earlier in the week and said my order had been placed and I should get a production number on Monday. He said they were limited to one order per month but I don't know if they have a limit for the year.

Placed my order this morning for a MG with DCT and Executive package! I had the only allocation for this dealership thus far (York PA). My sales guy indicated that the HCA was already taken - which was fine with me because it came in White only. He also could not tell me when they would get more allocations.

I am awaiting my order information so I can track it. Sales guy indicated that it would take a bit longer than the typical 6 to 8 weeks to arrive. I have April 20th marked on my calendar - 10 weeks from today.

Dealer was great to work with. Everything was done at MSRP with a $500 refundable deposit.

Will post more updates as I get them.

I can't make this any more clear boys and girls. You do not have an "allocation" if your dealer does not give you a Production #. Simple as that. If your dealer takes your order and tells you your order is confirmed and fails to provide you with an allocation number in 111-status, you are just in the order bank and it's a waiting game until the BMW factory decides to fulfill your order by giving you a Production #.

I do not know your dealer, how many M vehicles they sell, whether they are an M certified dealer, and where you are in line so I couldn't even begin to tell you when You would get your production number. I am hoping that the factory will start to release production spots to fulfill orders at the end of this month. We have to be close because the HEA launch cars are going in to production soon since they are in 112 status and and I saw a few in 150 status meaning they are being built as I type this. Perhaps they are. I haven't checked in a week so some may have made it to the ships.

Edit: By 2/19? Are you sure?? I'll check tomorrow when I get in the office but that may be a little optimistic

I received a production number 2 weeks ago. But production hasn't started according to tracking? It is an HEA car. Any clue when it will start and when it may be done? Aren't all HEA cars arriving at same time ????
Another dealer has one in bound this month but it's my second choice color.
Trying to decide what to do ?

The tracking system on bMW USA is a tad bit slow. Sometimes could be 2 weeks behind from real time updates. For the most up to date status of your production number, call your dealer so they can look it up in DCS and tell you what the real status is or call bMW USA customer service and they will also tell you.

Thanks, I did call BMW USA today and they said its scheduled for production but no date yet.

Found out a dealer my friend works at has 8 allocations. I would be #7 on the list. She told me I will be lucky to have by summer and is 2k deposit.

Anyone else way down on the list hear anything about approximate date? Seems like 1 car per month is the way this will go.

Remember, we were told by a BWW dealer's VP of sales that any BMW dealer providing an exact M2 allocation for the year is full of it.
