Has anybody sold their car through this on line car buyer? I got a good offer for my car but the transaction is remote and I have to sign and mail a POA so they can transfer the title. They will send a transport company to pickup the car who will allegedly have a corporate check for me.

Corporate check? Why not EFT? Seems like they will have your POA and your car and you'll still be waiting for the check to clear! I would not give them the car until the money is in your account.

I will do the same but give you a big cardboard cheque like the lotteries. Just for that you should sell it to me...I'll put any number on the cheque you want....just send me the title first so I can register it

Thanks guys. I'm feeling the same. I'm going to try to sell it locally. This sounds fishy. Other sellers who have sold with them say they have gotten their checks but after waiting several nerve racking days.

I have them meet me at my bank

I deposit their certified funds and then I sign the title over

And while present my bank can notarize anything for the buyer if it's needed
