Week 33
Thought I'd start a thread for us Week 33 folks as there seems to be a number of us 33'ers on here posting amongst the other "week N" threads
My week 33 build completed production Aug 18, now in status 190 (on the way to Bremerhaven). Next OCD activity - figure out onto what boat it gets loaded. |

My hunch is west-coast bound boats head straight for the Panama Canal - but I don't know that for a fact. We will see soon enough. |

So if your dealer is giving you a delivery date before your car is on a boat, I suggest you manage your expectations by viewing that as a guess that could be wrong by 2 or 3 weeks. And understand that my viewpoints pertain only to US deliveries - I've no insight into delivery behaviors in other markets. To answer your question for my car: I will estimate 6-7 weeks from the date that my car departs Bremerhaven on a boat. 30 days on the water to Port Heuneme, and then 2-3 weeks to get from Port to delivery at dealer. I've gone through this wait quite a few times - it always seems interminable. And if you've set an expecation for yourself that turns out to be too soon - those extra days between your optimistic expectation and actual delivery seem to last even longer than the entire wait prior to that. Just sharing how I manage my own expectations - YMMV. |

I was given the earliest date of 10/11/17. I chose 10/13/17 due to work. I was hoping for an earlier date since I think the car should be I. The states within ~30 days I'm guessing. I may call PCD and ask if it ends up coming early if I can move it up.
What specs you order? I ordered LBB MT Moonroof (had a mx5 convertible before.. not the same but.. better then nothing for me) Exec |

My car finally got to port. Went to status 193 this morning - "at port awaiting a shipping vessel."
Any other 33'ers the same? Any 33'ers already on a boat? |

Another week 33 here. My car is also at the port waiting for a vessel. Since we are both on the left coast, they will probably be on the same boat...hopefully soon.

Curious now - what was your production complete date? (bimmer.work will tell you if you don't already know). You must have been day 1 of week 34 to get there so fast - pretty cool. |

Completed that day too and waiting at port since same day. I'm coming through port of Galveston. There was a W&W ship going to East Coast and Galveston that left 8/21. Next one for that route is 8/28 which is where I imagine I'll land.
