A buddy borrowed my car and returned it with some glamor shots.

The car is leaving today, so he got some good shots to refresh my memory in a few years.

Beautiful photos, and beautiful car! I’m partial to MG; mine is the same color.

Stunning car, great pics

Two questions:

1) What do you mean by the "car is leaving today"

2) What rear diffuser are you running?

1) I traded it in;

2) That’s the M Performance piece.

Beautiful car. Not even a year old and you are moving on. I hope it is to something better. Can you tell us what you bought?

Nice car. Keeping the M2 and picking up the 911 would have been the ideal solution. I'm sure you will enjoy your time with the 911.

Not my ideal solution. The cars are both RWD coupes with limited rear space. They’re close enough in form factor to be duplicative.

Love the M2 but you can't go wrong with a 911, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Maybe it's the angle of the photo but I've not see the M Performance Diffuser look that good before!

Nice shots. Is the car lowered with spacers? if so what setup did you go for?
Enjoy the Porka. The 991s are lovely cars.

Nicely done...can't believe they did away with Mineral Grey on the comp.

Congrats on the upgrade! What model 911 did you end up getting?

Thanks. Yes, the car is lowered with Eibach Pro-kit and it has 10mm and 12mm spacers.

Well, I'm not sure where to start because what I picked up isn't what I'll end up with. I had a 997.2 Turbo S that I sold for the M2. I replaced the M2 with an exceptionally low-mileage 997.2 C2S to drive until my Porsche dealer finds the right 997.2 Turbo, which I'll probably keep until my turn at the 991.2 GT3 fountain comes up.

I've had seven 911s, and four have been 997s. There's something about them that I prefer over the 991s and even the air-cooled cars I've had. They're like 993s with air conditioning that actually gets cold. That said, I'm looking forward to a GT3 Touring even if it is a 991.

Good grief, what sort of depreciation hit did you take on your 5 weeks of ownership? Congrats on the 911!

997's are great cars! I was considering selling mine when I got the M2 last year, but then I took her on a few road trips and fell in love all over again. I do feel like the M2 is a cross between my M4 and the 997, so I think she's a keeper also.

Seven 911s...the dream! Can't fault you for the 997 love...I'm very green to the Porsche club (I just bought a 997.2S myself), but I find its proportions to be absolutely perfect versus the newer 991.

None except for the modifications. I bought it used with 3,600 miles and sold it with 5,000 for the same price I paid but with and an intercooler, downpipe, flash, springs, and spacers. I had about $1,300 in parts and I did all the labor myself.

I really wanted to like the M2, but I couldn't. It's too different than the BMWs I grew up and fell in love with. It seems like there are too many cooks in BMW's kitchen and the end result is a cornucopia of crap I don't want in a car. I've tried to have a 911 and another car to drive daily, but I never drove it because I always hopped in the 911. There's no sense in me having something else because it'll never get used.

I actually bought a .2 C2S cab with a manual and no Sport Wart and love it. I might keep it just because it's a convertible.

Congratulations! It's going to change your perspective on what a car should be. What are the specs?

Does this mean that IND is going to start tinkering with Porsches?

Here are a couple more from the session:
