I really like the new digital guage cluster on the 2 series. Can't wait to see how it gets 'Mified'.

Now I don't know what I'm going todo. Allotments are still scarce for M2. My lease is up in June and had decided to just keep my 235 for another year or so and do ED in 2020.

Maybe I should get on the list for the M2comp.

I expect this to be in every review of the MY19 M2 review. The only "but" is going to be the price if it's quite a bit higher.
The other "butt" is if it sounds like queef farts with the S55

the basic m2 competition comes with our regular M2 LCI gague. but you can opt for this gauge as an extra. also the m4 seats gonna be extra too and the competition rims too which looks similar as the 1er M rims

It's not digital. There's just a screen at the bottom. The rest is backlit analog.

Yep - this will be the car to check out for sure.

I hope they don't put "competition" on the boot next to M2 - that's going to look busy IMO.

I haven't heard any version of the F80/82 without some of that sound - no matter the downpipe and/or exhaust on the car. Seems to be an inherent aspect of the engine that is just part of the deal.

Now, if they DO find a way to get rid of that in the M2 Comp, there's gonna be a lot of pissed off M3/4 owners.

I really think the F80/82 would be more universally loved if they sounded really good out of the box, or if there were aftermarket solutions that made the car sound great. The E9X M3 didn't sound great stock, but you could make it sound epic with mods. I just haven't seen that with the S55...all subjective of course, but the sound really matters more now that I've experienced a great sounding car (981).

My M6 coupe is coming off of lease in May and will probably need an interim coupe to keep me occupied till the M8 arrives.

I love the cart feel of the M2 and think the comp edition will make it even more amazing. Any info on a possible HUD, can't stand that there is no HUD option on the M2.

No HUD on the M2 is my number 1 gripe. Looking down to see how fast (55 of course) I'm going is dangerous. Also, I hate using the gauge cluster for speed, I set the speed to show as a digital number in the bottom center of the cluster.

Your M4 is ready .... Says BMW

Already has S55 and has HUD. And M mirrors and seats.

Has BMW fixed the issue with the HUD and Polarized sun glasses? For example my Maui Jim's do not like the BMW HUD.

I'm just breaking balls. I personally like the sound under load while driving, not so much at idle or revving while sitting.

I think most of that sound gets lost so to speak, especially at higher speeds with the windows down (I haven't disabled ASD, no idea on what it sounds like with the windows up) - so I can't really comment on whether it's good or bad in that regard.

As opposed to the in-cabin experience of an F6 rubbing up against your spine

If the M2 was like this from the start I would have looked elsewhere.

Making blanket statements are always fun.
