NJ here. I don't have a front plate. Don't keep it in the trunk or on a tow hook mount or display it in the windshield. Literally just don't have one. Period. We're right next to PA where you don't need one so I guess they just give less of a shit here.

They also can't legally ticket/tow your car while it's parked for not having a front plate. Worst case scenario, after you get a moving violation they tack another ticket on for the missing plate. You can even pass inspection without it, lol.

IMO a front plate ruins the look of the car and therefore i won't ever be using one.

a ford mustang late 90's 5.0 car pulled up next to me at a red like. young punk driving . gestured at me to race on a residential boulevard. i wanted noting of it. he sped off , burned out and fishtailed in front of me. i go through a yellow light accidentally because i was concentrated on the idiots car. hidden cop behind me pulls me over for going through a yellow.

Mate down here in Australia ,was driving his 1M with a carbra that had slipped down partly covering his front plate after a 1100 mile journey ,a highway patrol with number plate reading technology pulled him over and gave him a ticket,$434 and 4 points out of his 13 point limit.

He was only 10 miles from home ,down here in Australia highway patrol just a revenue raising arm of government.

MD here too. There was one cop who nabbed me about 5 times on 70 near Frederick. Each time he would become more and more belligerent. I just stayed calm. I think he was more upset over the fact that paying the fine didn't seem to bother me. There is no real recourse. No points on your license.
