Does anyone know the basic time frame from allocation to delivery?

If you provide an estimate of weeks that is fine. Everyone experience will be unique.

Here is why:
- I received my allocation.
- I went to the dealer, ordered in their system and see my car at MyBMW.com as Order Documented.

How long?

It was 9 weeks for me from the time the order went into the system at my dealer to when i picked the car up. I'm in LA which may have taken longer as well as numerous MP parts were installed at the port which could have added time.

I had a November/December allocation, car was built in early November and I took delivery in mid December. Results will vary.

There was a timeline thread where many posted this info. It seemed to vary a bit. I got my production number July 4 and picked my car up near the end of October.

6 weeks from start of production to east coast dealer delivery.

12/9/16 Got the allocation
12/13/16 Scheduled for Production
1/6/17 Production Started (This delay likely due to holidays)
1/8/17 Paintshop Started
1/16/17 Assembly Started
1/17/17 Production ended
1/18/17 Released for Distribution
1/20/17 Arrived at port of exit
2/1/17 Shipped from Port of Exit
2/20/17 Arrived at Port NJ/NYC (Nor'eastern in Halifax cost me 3 days)
2/24/17 Arrived at Dealer
