ashburyn54 or anyone can post a Map4 log of their M2, via datazap if possible to see if your DME_BT is the same as your ECU_PSI or Boost line?

I spoke to FSociety and this is the problem seen prior

Hey there. DME bt vs ECU psi will vary on the stock tune, Jb4 and a flash based on conditions. Once all the variables are factored in timing and boost will change constantly. I'll find a map 4 for you

I tried bit0, bit1, bit3 for FUD=11 and even did FUA=40
my Map4 boost is still under DME_BT and Terry does not care so I will be forever done with this unless Steve helps.

There's plenty of results of Bootmod3 on M2 already; the jb4 is the one lacking any real consistency. Its on here if you search you can find it.
I was able to smooth things out a bit more with FF set to 30 and PiD gain set to 6. My PWM and FF match the boost target nicely now. These are map 3 runs on meth though so I don't know how it will effect map1. I don't think PiD gain is even used on map1 since it acts as an additive.

Map4 DME targets and ECU psi. This matches really well. AVG ign was learning down fast which is probably why those ECU psi targets are matching or above. FUD toned down and FF lowered would probably get rid of those tiny over target peaks.

I'm looking for the optimum tune to add say 50/60hp at the wheels retaining originally street smooth drivability. Appreciate hearing your experience.
Honestly there are so many that your head will hurt trying to research them all.

I would advise you to ask yourself on what your goals are first and what are your priorities.

Are they staying within warranty confines? If so Dinan and or some easily removable piggy back options.

If you want an ecu flash there are quite a few and this is where it can get overwhelming. No two ecu tuners are the same.

Also remember this, your car comes with a beefy N55 motor with forged internals and BMW tuned it to a higher ceiling that pushes the turbo close to max in Its efficiency. You're pretty much going to max out fueling with any stage 1 or 2 (with downpipe) type of tune.

Just to give you an idea I make relatively the same power leave it take a few on my FBO N55 335i with a pure stage 1 turbo as say a down pipe and a tune M2. Fueling will be your 1st choke point, after that the stock turbo. If you want big power a Stage 2 turbo is a must .

As far as tuners go I highly recommend BM3. It's flexible, amazing customer service, and will leave the window open to whatever you want to do down the road. You can have a ton of maps and go back to stock easily. And if you buy a different car like say an F10 M5 you can carry over your BM3 device and license to that car you just need M5 maps from PTF .

Just decide on what you want and set some goals and choose based on that.

I really dig the resale value in BM3. No other flash tune provides that option.
