Alredy a price increase before the LCI?

Was looking at BMWUSA.com, the build page is showing starting MSRP $52500, instead of $51700

yes, Q2 cars without the LCI items have a $800 increase. There may be another increase come Q3 when the LCI is supposed to be released.

You're right it was always 700. Maybe I was confused with 2016 MY?

Quite possible it had a small increase from 2016. I ordered mine in Jan before this recent price increase so I don't think it affects my MSRP for delivery this month.

So there's a price increase but nothing different on the car? What if you ordered the car with the original price but then the price increase happened just as the car is entering production?

Thanks!

Talk with your CA. I think you'll be okay with agreed upon price when you ordered--especially if it's in writing. I do recall reading somewhere that cars entering production before that announced price increase (March 1?) would be grandfathered.

Yes, I spoke w/ my CA last week, and he confirmed that the original MSRP will be honored (prior to the increase).

The car is still a performance bargain even with the increase.
