MY 17 M2 allocation available at Long Beach BMW (Southern California)

Just an FYI. I spent 2 weeks sifting through available M2's in a 300 mile radius of Los Angeles and found dealers in Los Angeles selling at MSRP. I eventually was able to get an Alpine While 6MT at MSRP and an additional 2K with my USAA manufacturer discount/incentive. This dealer was asking 5K over but eventually took MSRP.

Long Beach BMW had (still might have it) a MG DCT and offered a deal under MSRP (end of month deal) but I wanted a 6MT. I was assigned an allocation, but I'm all set now. Long Beach BMW sells M2's at MSRP, no haggling, no mark up, a good dealer and worth contacting if you're in LA and looking to place an order for a MY 17. You can reach Long Beach BMW A.B. at 714-715-6955 if you're interested in placing an M2 order with available allocation.

LB BMW was pricing cars at MSRP, but then forcing you to lease with all maintenance/tire/etc. add-ons. Is this not the case anymore?

They sell at MSRP BUT require you to get Lo-Jack and Tint for like $8000 HAHA, that was last month.

How do they require you to take optional extras?

Under MSRP? Been a long time since I heard of an under MSRP deal on this car. Is this under MSRP with mandatory extras pushing the prize back up?

I don't know about this particular dealership, but I've heard from another local dealership saying that they will offer me 2017 M2 under MSRP... in fact, it's a $5k discount for a "slightly used" M2 (600 miles). MSRP was $68k, and they offered $63k... added a whole bunch of accessories that I don't even need / want.

I was not required to order anything beyond the build I wanted at LB BMW.

The vehicle recovery and VIP were included, no additional charges.

The M2 I got at another dealer had additional installed accessories and I justified it since it was what I was mostly planning anyway. This included the exec package, pedals, black side grills, black kidney grills, CarPlay, illuminated door sills (not my preference), wheel locks and a first aid kit (LOL). But it was at MSRP after they were asking 5K over.

The USAA MFG discount offset all of the accessories so I made the decision to take possession now, take a couple extras I didn't need rather than waiting. Was it worth it? Well... I'm driving the car I've wanted for over a year and loving it... so absolutely! My backup plan was to order at Long Beach BMW exactly as I wanted it.

It's worth noting the Long Beach MG DCT included exec and no other fluff in the build at MSRP.

The M2 6MT I got from another dealer was a customer order that fell through due to a delay in the delivery and the customer walked. It took a week to get from 5K over to MSRP.

You want to make sure that they have available allocation, and ask the CA to specify the production week, and provide production # once you decide to place the order.

I know another local dealership in SoCal that should have allocations, let me know if you are interested, I can provide you his contact. Thx

South Bay has an allocation...I spoke with Joseph Espiritu today. They want $5k over MSRP but I didn't really feel like negotiating today. I did test drive a DCT car (finally). Feels good...I would NOT buy their demo car (which they want $67k for (DCT, with every single BMW Performance part). That car has been BEATEN on.

I asked him to try to find a White 6MT with Exec package...don't really want to order one and wait at this point.

I know a dealership that may still have allocations for week 12, if you don't mind waiting, and they only ask for MSRP. Let me know if you want me to pass along his contact.

I think there is enough supply (and its not like there are that many options) that I will be able to find the one I want reasonably soon with ordering it and waiting.

Actually, I think both Pacific and Nick Alexander both have cars I would buy...albeit they are about $5k too high (but I bet I could get them down if I really wanted)

Thanks though

it's the vehicle inquiry status report that you get when you place the order for any BMW. It summarizes your build, and status of the production (111...112... etc).

Lol, thanks. I thought it was alarm and tint. The included at no additional charge threw me off.

I'm pretty sure VIP and vehicle recovery is some BS package from the dealership you should confirm if they charged you for that.
