It could just be an internal placeholder name too.

As indicated a few posts before, see for example this 2010 screenshot not mentioning yet "1M" or "1-Series M Coupé":

...including all the buzz because it did not only mention the 250kW EURO-spec version (340 hp [metric] - 335 hp [mech]), but equally a 1M mystery unicorn for the US sporting 332kW (451 hp [metric] - 445 hp [mech]) !

Look again at the screenshot: the last line indicates a 332kW version for the US

But as we know, the 250kW 1M made it to the US.

just some questions about the "Csl"

Hello everyone

I´m reading this forum for a while, been here when i was in the market for a m2 or a focus rs, and went with the second one for the practical side of it.

Have no regrets but still not in love with the rs and looking ahead for this more hardcore edition.

So what are we going to get if we have a slot?
I don´t know..
What i want to buy is a M2 with less wheight, a rollbar just for that hardcore look and a bigger engine, this 4 cilinder engines have to stop. i know emissions...
Can it be manual please
The price will be a bit high at the 100000 euros where i live. i guess.

Lets see what will they deliver

Sorry about my english.

Best regards

So you went with RS for practical reasons and now you wanna replace it with the less(maybe) practical version of the M2? I'm so confused.

Makes no sense...a M2 CS wil be more unpractical then a normal M2 and then a Focus RS... Some people don't know what they want
They want a car with the luxury of a BMW 7, the practicality of a 5 serie touring, the performance of a M4, the rawness of a M4 GTS and the price of a 116i

The roll cage in the GTS is about 150 lb. They added that and the car is still a little lighter than the base M4. So BMW did reduce weight on the base car but had to add some back.

Some say the weight savings are only 70 kg, but that is a rumor I heard at a BMW event last week...

If you want that you have to tune it... M2 Competition will not be like that.

"only 70kg"?!?! Anything over 50kg is pretty impressive for a road car that maintains creature comforts like AC & power windows.
