I'm doing ceramic because it's the objectively the best all-around performing material to use. Only reason I can think of NOT to use it is its slightly higher cost and one's personal preference of appearance. Contrary to the anecdotal (nonsense) posted, it won't cause problems with radio frequencies. It may interfere with IR frequencies, but newer cars (< 15 years) don't use IR.

I think the windows are already tinted stock, probably 85% compared to wind shield. And you can opt dark window with quarter and back.

Doing this can interfere with the auto windshield wiper sensor per other anecdotal evidence.

I thought the wiper sensor was in the same area as the camera? Couldn't get tint over that anyway since its right up against the windshield. My last car with auto wipers had the strip up until those little tint dots near the center and I never had any issues with the wipers.

The tint goes on the inside and would not cover this area.

The funny thing about tint pics is that a pic taken of a even non-tinted car can look tinted depending on angle, shading, and background through the glass!

Do you guys have any problems seeing at night? Perhaps my night vision has deteriorated due to age, but I have difficulty seeing much through tint at night.

Of course you could roll the windows down, but sometimes that's not practical.

Last night was the first time I drove in the dark since having the tint done, and no I didn't have any problem with it. It's tricky because you can't necessarily "test" tint on your own car to know if it's going to work for you. Hope you find something that works.

I live in AZ and use 3M Chrytalline, it allows you to go with a lighter tint and blocks heat better than the conventional dark tints. I use 40% which I think is a nice balance. I live in an area that has no street lights (protect the stars thing) but I have had no issues with visability. 3M also makes a 70% which is a really light tint but it blocks heat like crazy we run that on the wifes windshield and it works great during our summers and you can't even tell its on there.

20% all around except for the windshield. I have 20% on my Q60s as well and the M2 is lighter, which might be because the windows appear to be a little bigger.

Any way to get the film to lay correct on the edge where the dot matrix is on the driver and passenger front windows? I do not like how the edges look.

They said it will cure itself in a day or 2 so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll have to see wassup within the next couple days.

I just did 30% Llumar ceramic tint on the side windows, corner windows, and back window. I also did Llumar Air series clear film on the windshield.

Should not use metallic film on our cars because it can cause interference with electronics.
