Great work Fabspeed !

I would be nice to have a video (for the sound) and a dyno for a M2 with the Fabspeed sport cat downpipe and the stock exhaust. You know, a setup that we can use in the street.

It is fun to hear the sound and to see a dyno for a M2 with the Fabspeed sport cat downpipe and the muffler bypass but as we cannot drive this setup in the streets it is useless for many of us.

The Muffler Bypass Exhaust adds very little power, 1-3hp at certain RPM. The reality is that it is primarily a sound modifier. If power is what you are after, a downpipe is the way to go first. I drive my Muffler Bypass / Sport Cat setup every day and it's very livable, although we understand it's not for everyone. We will be working to get videos of M2's with the individual components as soon as possible and if anyone is local and wants to help, let us know.

There is always something interesting going on here at Fabspeed! If you are ever in the area feel free to stop in! I would love to show you around the shop and everything we do here.

That is a customer of ours getting some custom fabrication work finished up. To be honest, I am not 100% if he is a member or not.

Doing the just the Sport Cat Downpipe and leaving the rest of the exhaust stock is still a fantastic upgrade. Not only are you getting the performance but you do gain some sound. The popcorn on the deceleration and a great sound when the car is under load.

I can confirm this; I currently have the sport DP.and stock exhaust. It's so addictive, I'm waiting for the muffler bypass!

Would love for someone to compare this setup (or the parts individually) to the MPE who's heard both. Hard to judge based on videos.

Fabspeed Motorsport Is the dynograph shown in your original post on a stock ECU or some sort of tune?

Yes it sounds great but remember that you are running "strait pipes", not legal in most of the places I guess. In my region it is definitively a "no go".

"Black exhausts tips", are you kidding ? I guess that it is a matter of personnal taste.

The MPE black carbon fiber tips are the only reason why I didn't ordered it with my M2, I prefer the chromed ones from the stock exhaust. I could get a MPE with chromed exhaust tips instead of these ugly black CF ones I would order it right away...

Actually. The car in the video is mine; it has the sport DP (catted). So, no CEL, and it will pass emissions in the US

No I am not "kidding". As you stated it's personal preference and to be competitive on the market, it's only logical to include black tips as an option.

I'm pretty sure your dealer would swap the c/f tips with chrome ones for free...after all they would sell your C/F tips for $1500

If you really want the MPE you shouldn't let the tips stop you, I'm sure your dealer will accommodate.

Good to see that it's not raspy when you delete the muffler. The I6 can be really fickle

The shop is over the top (in a good way). My lowly M2 looked out of place next to the Ferraris and McLarens. Service is also over the top.

I'll give a thorough review of my experience with them soon; they just dropped off my car. Won't get to try it out for a bit. I'm out of the country for 2 more weeks.

As it does in the Stock version, are the Crackles and Pops absent in Comfort Mode?

I live in a small, quiet neighborhood, leave early and arrive home late. I prefer to avoid waking the children.
