A tune alone will take the golf R and Audi S3 0-100mph in 9 seconds. I would think the TTS would be even faster because it's lighter.

How's audi's view on tuning? I tuned my m3 and the dealer never once complained but I guess my tune was more for my CEL after my exhaust swap. Are Audi tunes as simple as a jb4?

No concrete news yet, but is the TTRS being released anytime later this year? Maybe next spring?

So much hush-hush on this car's release.... It doesn't help that the Audi forums don't have the traffic like Bimmerpost.

Anybody correct me if I am wrong, but from what I am aware of, "Audi" and "tune" go hand-in-hand! I am always hearing of people tuning their S or RS cars... Seems to be a common practice among Audi enthusiasts...

I was trying to find out when the rs3 would be released and the dealer told me 2018. I don't think they know.

You can get a jb4 for the s3. Same easy plug and play.

Seems as if tuning your car is guaranteed flagging in their system should anything happen engine related. But as someone pointed out, it seems jb4 is available to audi (news to me) so I can always take it off

Audi frowns loudly and clearly on tuning. Search Audi TD1. That will tell you everything you need to know. That being said, tons of guys are tuning their S/RS cars. The most popular tuners are APR, GIAC and Revo.

I've heard this too but had my TTS and B8 S4 tuned and had no issues with my dealer. I'll definitely be trading my CLA45 in for a TTRS when it's finally released!

Some 2017 TT RS pics. Will be 400 HP, although no manual. Not surprising though...
Audi says 0 to 60 in 3.7s.

Haven't been a fan of the TT at all. It does look quite a bit different from the VW beetle now though

I like the front a lot. All they need to do is finally get rid of those Beetle rear fenders and it would be great.

Looks nice.....very aggressive. Wonder if you can take that quattro off the front lip....hopefully its a sticker. Im really at a loss for why audi chooses to put this on the RS cars

Agree. I love the front, but the fenders and side view just being so symmetrical is not as pleasing. Fix the fenders on the car and I feel it would make a huge improvement... to the point of sales increasing. Unfortunately, that is a TT trademark.

I think that is an option actually.

I also wonder why they don't just remove the useless rear seats and just increase trunk size?

Thanks.. I'm fan of that Nardo Grey color. If that is the color on the grey one. Read that OLED may not come to US, but we shall see! But if it does, there are some cool features on the TT-RS that have me pretty interested. Just hoping price isn't a lot more than the M2. If it is $20K more, then I would definitely stick with the M2. And I think it might turn out to be that much more since they are saying 66,400 euros.

Thats true...US usually misses out on the cool features. Wonder when release date would be for US.. spring or summer 2017?

Fall for Europe... So yes, I am thinking spring/summer 2017 for the U.S.

If the TT-RS is truly around $75,000 in the U.S., then it is going to directly compete with the Porsche 718 S. Going to be a weird dynamic for VW since the 718 S pretty much with a ton of goodies is about $75K.

TTS kits out at $67k here in Canada (with reasonable options)... so TTRS will definitely be north of $70k. Not sure where the TTS falls in the US (in terms of pricing).

That being said, it kind of falls between the M2 and M4 in pricing - so may compete with both for buyers.
