Today I took my M2 (LBB) to Knights BMW in Stoke to see AC Schnitzers UK demo [IMG][/IMG]
Not usually into Schnitzers style of tuning, but this did look well to say the least! |

Finally installed my HR springs and 12mm spacers. Super happy with the ride and drop.

For me I don't like the super low or slammed look my goal was to just remove the small wheel gap that was there. The end game I got what I was looking for thanks man! |

How is the ride ?
Quote:
The picture is not perfect but the sheet was handed over me by Marco Gaa from Scnitzer Aachen himself ! Lowering of the front of the car is 20-25 mm and lowering of the rear of the car is 15-20 mm with their basic spring kit, which is the one I assume you have. You can also get a full adjustable suspension mod that allows for adjustable ride height between 30-40 mm lower than stock. But the question is how is the ride improved ? They claim: - better steering response by putting a little more weight on the nose. - improved traction with reduced squirming on acceleration due to better weight transfer. - reduced nose dive on breaking and float on acceleration. - flatter handling with less body roll. - above all a maintained ride quality. Busy weekend - installed the backup camera switch, put the summer tires back on, gave it a bath... then proceeded to cover it with brake dust at its first autocross.
This was a BMW CCA auto-x school so I got plenty of runs in, and wow. It's one thing to DD this car, and entirely another to get to really run it. There was a wide variety of BMWs there, including a bunch of M cars, but only 1 other M2. They were easily the stars of the show. My instructor told me they were basically drawing straws to see who got to instruct the M2 drivers. A lot of them hadn't seen one before, let alone drive one. I rode along while my instructor took a lap in mine, and one of the other instructors did a couple as well, which made me feel... slow. Still, if you haven't gotten out to an auto-x, do yourself a favor and do it ASAP. IMG_1223 by Jaclyn Heck |
