Hi All,
Has anyone had any issues with passing inspection with muffler bypass? Both sound and emissions? Best, Rob |

I haven't heard anyone having issues with inspection/emissions. I have an M235i myself with our Sport Cat Downpipe and Muffler Bypass and I didn't run into any issues as well. |

After installing the downpipe do you need a re-map?

Regarding just installing of the sport cat downpipe, for those who have it installed. What have your BMW service department's said in regards to the 3 year service/warranty, when seeing it installed?

We are currently running into some high rpm misfires with a Dinan stage 4 and they are currently thinking it's downpipe related. I'll be swapping it out Monday and reporting back...but I'm doubting it's related.

That's funny. They knew I was running a downpipe at the time I got the Stage 4 P2 installed, and I got no such warning from them. Nor have I had any detectable misfires, ever.

Do you spend a decent amount of time WOT over 6500 rpm? This one will do it fairly easily there.

On the track, yes. Otherwise, no--maybe a few times/week. At no time have I experienced misfires. And I'm actually interested to hear the theory or theories that would explain how a catted downpipe would cause misfires? Have you got good A/F numbers up and down the band? Is it running too rich up top with the catted DP?

Any reason not to install my Fabspeed Sport Cat immediately when I pick up my car?
Should I wait until after 1200 mile service? Besides not really being able to test the car before the service I can't think of any other reason. |

Misfires are normally due to coil packs or spark plugs.. So that's probably the problem!
