Finally got my allocation! Gave them my deposit on 1/22/16 and just got my allocation yesterday for a week 13 build. BMW Genius says I should expect the car in late April or early May. Finally on my way!

Started at 21. They say they've only delivered 8 cars to this point and they are a relatively high volume dealer.

Week 12 here. Close enough to join in I suppose lol. I went with LBB 6mt. No options. I like a nice stripper

Any week 13 builds get any info? BMW genius just told me my car should enter production March 13.

I don't know but I guess it depends on the meaning of "week xx",...is that when production starts or ends and how long does it take to build, I've heard 1 week and I've heard 2.

If the BMW genius' (!) are correct and you've been told you are Week 13 but your car enters production on March 13 (Week 11), I have to assume it take two weeks to build and what BMW means by 'Week XX' is build complete.

Week 10 - March 6, 2017 - March 12, 2017
Week 11 - March 13, 2017 - March 19, 2017
Week 12 - March 20, 2017 - March 26, 2017
Week 13 - March 27, 2017 - April 2, 2017
Week 14 - April 3, 2017 - April 9, 2017

I'm supposed to be Week 13 but my dealer is telling me it goes into production that week...I'm pushing him for a VIN but he won't have it until probably week 12...

I've heard the same things but apparently people have been seeing their cars enter production a week or two early recently. We should start seeing our cars enter production on the BMW site sometime next week.

Same thing happened to me, I was a week 12 production (March 26) then all of a sudden my car went into production and was completed March 4th.

Maybe they are finally ramping up production

I'm week 13 as well! But I only found out about the M2 very recently, called around, and found an allocation in a nearby state

You're a lucky one then. I put my deposit down in January 2016 and got my allocation December.

I think it really helps to expand your search radius and not just go to your nearest dealer. My nearest dealer told me I'd have to wait for at least 9 months, and I was like hell no!

Anyway congrats. Only about a month and a half until we get our M2s

While true that it helps to expand your search it still takes some time. I contacted dealers all across the country and it still took a couple months. I think for you it was a combination of not restricting yourself to local dealers and starting your search right when new quarterly allocations were released.

My car entered production yesterday at 6:40 AM according to BMW Genius!

Anyone else hear anything? My car is in the quality control phase and should be on its way to the port in the next day or so.

My car finished production 3/29 and arrived at port yesterday. Now begins the wait for a ship!
