Finally got an allocation!!
Some of you may know I was on the waiting list at BMW Vegas at #1. They received 3 allocations and I didn't get assigned one. I was disappointed and was told there are some other list they had that had people willing to offer more than MSRP! They said that's how they do business and I feel that isn't the best and certainly not a fair way to do things.
Anyways I started calling around other dealerships as I was frustrated and needed a Q1 allocation because I wanted to get the car before summer. I called a few and put my name on the list. Then I decided to call BMW of San Antonio and they told me they are the #3 dealership in the country! I had no idea how big of a deal they are. They had 20 people on their list but a skewed 20 of some people on the list everywhere. I was curious about who the #1 dealership was and they told me Beverly Hills BMW! I wasn't sure if Beverly Hills charge over MSRP but I assume they would since it's a rich area but I decide to call anyways! I called and found out they have 2 open allocations available at MSRP! I couldn't believe it! How is there no waiting list!?? Then I was thinking they are probably moving so many cars that they don't need a list since they are the #1 dealership after all. I received my production number today and was told I will get the car sometime in May! I will call the genius during their business hours to find out the exact build week! They have one more open allocation for anyone interested! Beverly Hills BMW Joseph Nahhas 412-805-3478 Last edited by D CHOI; 01-14-2017 at 11:53 PM.. |

That's awesome man!
I am surprised to hear BH BMW is offering cars at MSRP now. Make sure you've got that in writing. They were one of the ones notoriously 'shame-listed' in our sticky because they had M2s at literally 30-40k over MSRP. That's right, they listed one M2 for OVER 100k. Good luck with everything, and make sure and start a build thread! |

Yea I was worried too but I was informed they are owned by SONIC AUTOMOTIVE and they are very competitive when it comes to pricing! I also checked out their yelp and read a comment saying someone got an M2 in Dec for MSRP. Perhaps it was early on they did that. I'm trying to find the post about Beverly Hills charging over MSRP but I can't find it. Last edited by D CHOI; 01-15-2017 at 12:02 AM.. |

But congratulations, for sure. An important step in the journey. I get mine tomorrow morning, just over one year after I put my first deposit down. Not sure what I will do with myself with an actual car to drive. May you get yours a helluva lot faster than that!! |

I also just noticed my priority code is 2- center own use.
Anyone have any knowledge on this? It should be priority 1 customer sold right? Or it doesn't really matter? |

I think a quick call makes sense. Again, the only thing you don't want is a car they have configured for you. If you don't have that, and it's at MSRP, you are golden.

It's definitely my own build. I just did some research and the priority 1 or 2 can possibly affect shipping speeds. Also being at priority 2 stops other dealers from calling on that car for a dealer trade. I will call tomorrow to look into this.

I'm not sure why it's taking this long but I'll find out tomorrow by calling the GENIUS during business hours and get a confirmation date on production week. It looks like it could just be a late FEB build.

I'm planning to chill and see how long they gonna take to let me know I have an allocation...lol. It be funny if I already got my car and they still haven't contacted me yet. I don't plan on creating any drama with them as I need them to service my car too. Even though the sales department is different from the service department I don't want to have any bad vibes every time I stop by.

OK so I called the Genius and was told I'm week 7 build. Then shipping times can range from up to 8 weeks or possibly more which is typical due to many variables at the port. So delivery should be around April or early May at the latest.
