You are a spy Steve. Do some spy stuff and call around to some dealers and score an allocation.

Talking

Some dealers will "take orders" and give you happy talk about when they'll actually get allocations that will allow them to fill those orders. Things are loosening up from the beginning, but still be wary about happy talk.
"Happy Talk" ... for some strange reason this cracks me up!

I placed my order in the middle of December for February 2017 production at MSRP. Still not sure how the estimate was so way off, but I'm not complaining.
Was Jackie Cooper at Msrp or with a markup ?

Need to know if i can get an M2 further progress from them at Msrp.

This. There are people backing out, changing their minds, etc. lists are in flux, allocations pop up monthly. It's a numbers game (as my wife said). I didn't find my car until like 37 dealerships later. But I found it. Part of it is catching the right CA at the right dealership at the right time.

I wouldn't put my name on a list with more than 2-4 people. That is unless your dealership is getting multiple allocations a month.

I had my name put on a list in November 2015, with no burning urgency to have the car ASAP. I was #66 on the list. Now, 14 months later, I am #20. I expect to get a call sometime this year, letting me know my position is at the top of the list. I'm patient...because I know that when the time comes, I'll have a new large monthly payment that I need to add to my monthly budget.

I'm planning on Euro delivery. I'd really like it if the M2 became available in the Individual program, because I think it would be great in Imola Red.

And, as some others have said, nobody seems to have any specifics about what LCI will bring to the car with the 2018 model year. But another post indicated that MY 2017 finishes building in June 2017, so anything after that will be a MY 2018 vehicle. With my standing on the list, I'm most likely going to get called when the 2018s are being built.

Didn't get that far in the process. Literally got the call from Classic as I was dialing Jackie Cooper so ended up at Classic.

Nope, not even that will get you an Individual one. That was one of two one-off M2's around (one silver and one Austin yellow) made for very well connected BMW employees/customers.

Exactly. Money talks..... individual is available if you're important enough.
