Thanks! I think the plan will be to do the intake, intercoolers, and some sort of oil cooler for this upcoming track season. Maybe I will do the stage one tune sometime during the year and then add the big turbos and fuel pump after the season is over.

For that reason if you wished to do the fuel pump I personally wouldn't bother until you were installing the big turbos.

I was told that there's a 1-2 month wait for parts, is this true? I guess you have to learn to be patient to be a car guy

Not as much as one would hope unfortunately. Overpopulation is killing the market and the going rate.
Sooooo, I had testicular cancer and already gave my left nut, but when I returned to work I told the guys it was so comfortable, they should lose one just for that! Especially on the Harley. No more pinching!

On turbos, yes. Everything else is available. The limited amount of turbos we had ready for release were instantly gone upon announcement. Was expected unfortunately.

I plan on doing the intake and intercooler for this up coming season so that heat won't be a problem. Now the questions is if the fuel pump is necessary without a tune? Thanks again!

Dinan, is this what you're referring to? And is it a factory HPFP replacement?

So, what happen if I want the Dinan Big Turbo, the DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner Stage 4, and Dinan Intercooler , but keep my eventuri intake, and my fi exhaust? What would happen to my warranty with you guys?

To be clear, is it a HPFP replacement?

Can Dinan confirm?

Warranty would be intact with caveats. Dinan's matching warranty covers Dinan and BMW OE parts so if a problem develops that can be traced back to the intake or exhaust as the root cause the claim would not be covered. Not in business to support other vendors goods after all. I can't think of a reason why the exhaust would cause issues unless cats were removed but the intake is a bit more problematic just with how finicky the sensors can be. So for example if you start getting MAF codes (intake related) you would be on your own.

The pump in question is an in tank LPFP replacement / modification (depending on which option you choose). Not a HPFP.

You can install yourself or have a non-Dinan dealer do the install and still retain the warranty. The caveat, as always, is that the installation woul dnot be covered so if somethign were to arise as a result of improper installation it would not be covered under warranty.

Also, the turbo itself requires requires factory-level tools such as BMW ISTA (or equivalent) to adjust wastegate for proper operation so that part of it is NOT a DIY task.

Yes they can be installed without a tune. Will get a bit more noise from the intake and perhaps a very small improvement in throttle response. The intercooler will still keep temps down and offer a bit of power as well. Turbo lag should not be affected at all.

The system gets hot and you will be in limp mode / heat soak more often then not.

What's going on below 2500rpm then?
We typically start at 2500 RPM just because of inconsistencies in the lower register when doing dyno passes. The jist is below for a few of the data point though.

Stock TRQ HP
1750 366 122
2000 371 141
2250 383 164

Stage 4
Dinan TRQ HP
1750 421 140
2000 405 154
2250 420 180

The exhaust and intake are recommended but not required. The bulk of the gains are basically from the intercooler, turbo and tune. I would still look hard at the exhaust though even if you have the M-performance one... it sounds soooooo good.

Quote in hours as labor rates are all over the place across the country.

Tune: 1.5 hours
Exhaust: 1.2 hours
Resonator Delete: 1.2 hours
Intake: 1 hour
Intercooler: 4.5 hours
Turbo: 5 hours

See above response and also first response in this post about the warranty.

See 2 responses above and first response in this post.

We do not tune for supplemental fuel. If you are going that route you probably will want to go with another tuning solution.

Again, not true. While we would prefer things to be installed at an authorized dealer as its a known factor and relationships are pre-existing it is not a requirement to maintain warranty. The caveat as stated above is that we would not be able to guarantee labor at a non-dealer however so there is an element of a gray area introduced.

See above.

M235i RWD and M2 (RWD) are both 5 hour quoted install times. The xDrive variants don't have an installation shortcut unfortunately so they require quite a bit more time and finesse hence the bigger install time on those models.

See a couple responses above.

Ive' never noticed any meaningful turbo lag on the car in either stock or tuned formats.
What needs to be adjusted on the wastegate? Is this done after the turbo is installed or on the bench like the N54 turbos were done?

Adjusted in the car after install. Need to re-sync them basically. Without that procedure done the car will throw codes all the time.

You're on the hot seat now. Is he doing the entire package or just the turbo/IC/tune?

As far as power goes he has a full Akrapovic exhaust including the catted downpipe, Dinan intake, Dinan intercooler and the the Dinantronics Stage 1.

He is going stage 4 software with the turbo, fuel pump assembly and ER charge pipes.
