I checked them, they have different part numbers.
Cause ones left and ones right! Should be mirror (no pun intended) images of each other.

Agreed
Wrong, they are different.
Mirrors are angled differently.

i wonder why they need a left hand drive car. you would think just a set of left hand drive mirrors would be enough.

Ask what the cost is if you supply the OEM M2 mirror. If it's reasonable get a set of 2 series mirrors from a junk yard.

I believe they need to purchase a brand new set of M3/M4 mirrors from BMW to make this thing work... A brand new set costs like $2000?

True. I'm finding mirrors on ebay for about $1200. I might just pick up a set. We won't know what's involved in making it happen until we try...

I am working on a similar project, I have already taken both the M2 and M3/M4 mirrors apart.

Basically the part where the mirror folds, you will need to break some parts inside to separate them.

Please see the attached pictures:

The first picture is the M2 mirror, the 3rd and 4th is the M3/M4 one.

Once you break it, you gotta find away to swap the base (part that attaches to your car).

I am trying a different route, easier and cheaper. Need some time to make mock-ups to verify

I guess you are joking?
Because the AutoID caps look like utter shit and are just a poor attempt to look like the real deal. No one with normal eye sight will ever put them on a car.

Still working on the prototype and this will take some time. The lines for both mirrors flow differently and I need to make it look nature coming out from the M2 triangular base

Do you need to remove door card to remove side mirror?

Or I just remove tweeter cover itself?
