I find it hard to believe that is the case. A replica off ebay made in china etc. that is a third of the price can not be identical to OEM BMW. It might be close as there are good replicas out there but up close you can always tell and over time is where OEM really tends to stand out.

How difficult is it to install the diffuser yourself?

RW Carbon website says:
"Bolt on installation - No modifications"

...but I would feel better if someone could confirm

Why pay OEM prices for a non-functional part? Bring on the cheap China CF

Looks like they used a picture of the actual M Performance diffuser. Its cheap but if you order it and your unhappy you'll be pissed and end up buying the genuine one and cost you more money in the end.

I recently ordered a CF rear diffuser for my 2020 M2C from this company (Monaco Motorsports). It def wasn't cheap but I didn't know it was made and delivered from China until after the order was being shipped!!!

It showed up today along with CF exhaust tips. The tips look awesome but the diffuser is kinda flimsy. Also, it has NO pre-drilled holes!!
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you go about installing it?
Feedback and advice greatly appreciated.🙈🙀

Amen ! Don't do it ! I bought the AutoID diffuser, it fits bad, it looks bad and it irks me everytime I see it on the car. Now I have to pay to get this garbage removed and to install the proper M performance I bought in a fit of rage.
The OEM stuff costs what it costs for a reason. Similar quality aftermarket parts will cost a similar amount. Do not cheap out, you will always know that you compromised and you will make an experience that is supposed to bring you happiness into something else. Buy cheap, buy twice !

Bought a cheap Chinese eBay rear diffuser. It didn't fit and quality was total crap. Then ordered the RW Carbon diffuser. Fit and quality was perfect. Install was super easy. Couldn't be happier. Was half the price of the OEM. For a non functional part it's totally worth it.

There is also a dealer here in the U.S. that I am familiar with from my 235 and they offer 25% off everything including M Performance parts so that is where I order all OEM parts from
got a link? Shoot me a DM if you prefer direct contact.

Jacks a good guy but ended the thread/didn't reply when I mentioned a review on his own site stating they had fitment issues with his diffuser.

Whole point of his TRE line is that that doesn't happen.

I took a gamble on a $350 ebay MP rep, since it was from a US-based seller and had free returns. Only issue was the tabs being "thin" so they didn't fully engage/lock, nothing a little tape couldn't fix. When I took it by my detailer, he thanked me for not buying cheap ebay carbon so I guess it passed the test
