Who has installed the H&R Springs?

Hi all,

I know ashburyn54 was a tester for the new ///M2 H&R springs; He was kind enough to post some pictures and give a brief review...

I believe they are up on the H&R website and available for sale...

So anyone else get them yet? I'm really curious to hear what people think of them. Seems like the perfect way to get *just* enough drop to improve aesthetics as well as tighten up the car a bit. At a good price point as well..

Anyone with them, please post pics and reviews

I have contacted H&R but their springs are not available yet in Canada. I am interested in feedback as well.

I personally will go with the KW HAS kit just because of the adjudtability in the height, may want to look into those as well.

Nice M2 without the ugly front bumper amber reflectors we have in North America.

Is the drop is really about .8 inch as said by H&R ?

On the street the ride is indistinguishable from std. No rubbing or bottoming out.

I will reserve opinion until fridays trackday is over.

Looks great! Although I wouldn't advise anyone to go with the m235i springs. Just go with the m2 specific springs since the suspensions are different animals.

Ballsy move fella give that H&R M2 sport spring part nr are the same as M3/M4.

Must feel somewhat overdamped as stock M2 springs are ~ 30-40% more than std M235i springs. H&R sport rates aren't that much stiffer than stock [maybe <15% more than std at the most]

Yes. Although I'm sure they are similar or the same the part number is indeed different. They pumped up the rears too. So it's an even .8" drop all around to match.

Not that ballsy, If they dont work I will change them out.

Track times will be the best indicator - So anything worse than a 63 sec lap will be a fail.

I used the M2 with its 235 specific sport springs on the track today.

I was using Hankook Z221 semi slicks. I was confident these tyres would show any shortcomings these springs have.

The group was made up of a lot of BMW track cars as well as a couple of M4,s and a lone C63.
Short answer is I will be keeping these springs.
Car was stable everywhere, minimal bodyroll and no bottoming out

Times are on the link below.

Boom! Looks great! I installed 7.5mm rear and 12mm front spacers.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much mine settled in a month.
