Hey thanks for the good pics, worth a thou!. It looks like you could (maybe did) slap some epoxy glue or such in the plastic bits for a good hold.

You are Lucky - you now have the fastest M2...call it a lightweight.
I asked the dealer to remove my logos / M2 at the factory which they said not possible. They offered to remove at the dealership.

I say anything to save weight. I am currently on a diet. Plan to lose 15 lbs (185 now) to make my car even faster.

BMW Roundel Taken

Very annoying when this happens. One of the few times it has been parked on the street in the last couple of months. I suppose a few others will have suffered the same?

I reordered at the local dealer but one thing to bear in mind if this ever happens. There are two rubber locating grommets that are needed. I ordered over the phone but when I went in to fit it they didn't have the grommets so needed to order that too.

Are you sure it was stolen? Mine fell off within a day of picking up the car, the small plugs that hold on the badge are very brittle and break easy, my replacement had self adhesive to hold it on.

did they replace free?
Possible it fell off but chances of being able to spot that are a bit slim unless it falls off when washing it or something

Yes mate, replaced for free under warranty. It's happened to quite a few of us.

My dealer told me Roundels falling off is no longer a problem because BMW no longer lets the guys who build the engines install the badges...

BTW, 3M Trim Adhesive is the stuff to use. It won’t deteriorate after a year or two like most household adhesives or double-faced tapes.
