Awesome way to get the break in kms done, enjoy! I've got a 3-4 trip planned from Canberra, through blue mountains, across the Sea cliff bridge and down to Kiama via Macquarie Pass, down the south coast to Bega, back up through the snowy mountains and home. About 1500km. Lots of photos to come for you all

Something like this: http://bit.ly/2jv7v0h

That Adaminaby/Khancoban loop is such a magnificent journey - a bit of everything and even quite challenging at times within the speed limits.

I've signed up for an April build slot thus looking at late June/July delivery so might have to defer those Alpine stages a couple of months and head North.

Good to know! I've driven those roads around Wollongong before but never the alpine roads, so very much looking forward to it! Anywhere in particular you recommend checking out in the area?

And congrats on the new arrival! What's your spec?

Thanks - M2 Pure, no options, still deciding between AW and LBB...

The best bit IMO is the Kiandra-Khancoban-Thredbo section. So many corners, quite steep and stunning scenery. Khancoban has a nice cafe for a quick bite. If you have the time, the road up and back from Jindabyne to Charlottes Pass has epic bits and lots of vision of the road ahead so you can see if anyone in a fluoro orange/white Commodore SS is coming.

If you have a couple of days you can head west from Khancoban and drive the Granya Gap road or even beyond that Tawonga Gap into Bright then Mt Hotham, Buffalo.....anyway, plenty of choice!

I finally picked mine up today!

LBB is amazing. I'm so glad I chose that colour.

My first 12km was bumper to bumper traffic lol. The irony!

What an amazing car. Later tonight I managed another drive.

I gave it a bit of light push to 5000-5500rpm.

I haven't been able to floor it yet. I've got to get my 2000km done quick smart.

Oh and mine came with Michelin super sport tyres

I went MG because I like the subtly but If I were to offer my opinion on those options, I'd go AW, it was a very a near second. I especially like the super clear headlights against the white paint. I like the car in LBB but I tend to think it'd be easy to become bored with. All that being said, the 4 options all look good on the car. My 2c.

Cheers for the tips on the journey!

Actually I have been looking at images of M2s and the MG is really growing on me. My main concern is how much more difficult the paintwork would be to maintain. We have a Space Grey 3 series and I've been pleasantly surprised how it doesn't look that grubby and hides swirls pretty well - certainly vastly better than black.

Given MG is darker than SG, does anyone find it a PITA?

Nope. It's fanfuckingtastic. Hides dirt really well and I don't have swirls because I keep car dealers and incompetent hand washers away from my car. If I didn't, it would probably hide them pretty well though. I have Geyon paint protection though so that could make the difference.

Love it

Have yet to see a M2 in the States (other than mine) - however, two hours after getting into North Sydney yesterday, I'm having a beer at the Rag & Famish and down Miller street goes a LBB M2 - with MPE? Or maybe some other exhaust.

Anyone here driving that car?

Bit of a long shot, but is there anyone here from Sydney with an Alpine White M2 that I could have a look at from a short distance?

Struggling to decide on a colour still and have yet to see white.

I'm in Newtown, work near Hurstville but happy to travel some distance.

Spotted a LBB M2 this morning in Woolloomooloo drifting around a roundabout near the Domain car park. I'm not sure if it was intentional or accidental given the roads were damp. Looked fun all the same....

What are most of you guys doing for paint protection?
I'm tossing up between:
Partial Xpel (on the front bumper, hood etc) + Opticoat on whole car - about $3500,
Full Xpel - about $5500,
Or Full Xpel + opticoat - about $6500

Do you think the extra Xpel coverage is worth the $2000 premium?
and if so, do you think it is still worth applying opticoat on top of this, for its properties to help keep the car clean?

I had PPF applied to the front bumper and behind the rear wheels only, the rest of the car was Opti-coated. I'm happy with how it all turned out and it's nice and easy to maintain.
