European Delivery @ MSRP?

Long story short, I've decided to pull the trigger on an M2 and want to go with European Delivery. I have a couple questions for those that could help.

Has anyone had any recent luck getting a deal at ED MSRP? I'd like to get an idea if this is possible in the current market.

Any leads would also be appreciated, my local dealer doesn't have an allocation and hasn't been responsive to questions but is happy to take a deposit. I'm in the Chicagoland burbs.

With that said any tips on making an over the phone deal would be useful as I start my hunt.

Contact dealer within a large radius of your home and ask them. I sent out 35 emails to dealers and got an M2 850 miles from me for ED MSRP El Paso BMW took care of me; a mere 1,500 miles from you! Good luck with the search.

Possible, but I think it really depends on the market. My dealer is OK with me doing ED but at US MSRP. Supposedly there's 18 people in line.

I got in to the list back in April ( BMW of Peabody in MA) they were MSRP. Once the allocation was available I decided to do ED with ED MSRP. All worked out well with out a problem, including PCD on Jan. Great dealership.

I'm doing ED in October 2017; am #6 on a list of 17, so will let others get theirs before me. So far, ED at ED prices since it is now officially open to ED on the BMW site.

Curious: how do you guys get email addresses of dealers? Is there an easy way besides using Edmunds to request quotes or having to look up each individual dealer?

I just used the contact forms on their websites. I didn't see any that listed actual email addresses.

You might want to establish a backup, from what I have heard most dealers are likely to get a small amount of allocations again in 2017. My dealer said they are only expecting 4 cars this year, same as last year. I really wanted to do ED but getting ED in 2016 for an M2 was a tough proposition.

My dealership is confident that their allocation and my place on the waiting list will work out for October 2017; if not, then I'll wait until it does, even if it is 2018.

I gave up.. was hoping to do ED in June and my trip is on anyway, and been trying, but apparently not hard enough since last fall... They tell me the line is long still.

Ordered my M2 in October 2016 for ED. ED on Dec 2, 2016 at US MSRP - 5%. Car delivered January 19th.

Squeals of delight a frequent side-effect of driving this beautiful car! And I will take the DCT (with paddle shifters) *any day* over manual tranny. There is no comparison to performance and ease of use -- even when compared to my M Z3 or '66 big block Vette.
