MSRP vs advertised pricing

So I went to the BMW website and priced out a fully optioned M2, see below.

As one can clearly see the MSRP is $63,251. So therefore, it seems that any ad with a higher price is gouging. Regardless of whether new or used.

A quick look at Autotrader reveals quite a few ads who claim an MSRP higher than $63,251. How is this possible when there are no more additions available.

For instance there is and ad for MSRP= $86,185. Where does the additional $22,934 come from.

Am I misinterpreting something here, because I just don't get it.

I saw some that dealers were selling close to $70,000 but they had m performance parts/exhaust/lip/winglets/ etc.

You mean 6 speed?

Hah yeah, this one: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1344250

Thanks...I saw it. I guess I'm still tire kicking and have yet to test drive an M2 yet. I haven't needed a car so I've been banking some money. Also need to move into my new building before I get another car.

Not part of pricing on website. Doesn't count.

Parts that are port installed are part of the window sticker and thus the MSRP. They definitely "count" in the price.

Garage List
I had MPE port installed which, including CF tips, added $4,500 to my MSRP.
