Would 436M wheels from M235i fit M2?

Thanks, everyone.

After passing on my allocation for the new M2, I am now rethinking my decision! My wife just placed her order for a new X6M to replace her 2012, and I'm jealous, haha.

My question is this - I searched everywhere, but I can't find out whether I can use the 436M (staggered) wheels from my M235i on the new M2?

I am thinking not, but as I have winter rubber on them already, it would be fantastic if they would fit on the M2.

Thanks for any help!!!

The track on the M2 will be slightly wider, and the offset will be much lower than the M235i. That being said, the 436M wheels will fit over the brakes on the M2 and 'should' clear everything but will look really awkward and sunken into the body...

Probably better off selling those and getting a set of winters for the M2.

Thanks - that's kinda what I thought. I'm not even sure I'm going to go with an M2. I just bought a new toy, my wife just ordered a new X6M, so three brand new cars in one year might be pushing the boat out a little,

Not a bad set of toys there!!

Post pics of that Huracan

There's two in my building, one white with a full vorsteiner carbon kit, and one matte black stock - amazing looking cars.

Hahaha - thanks! When I decide to get into debt, I do it RIGHT

Here are a couple of pics of the car when it arrived at the dealership, and they were trying to reel me in, lol.

The car was ordered in as a customer spec'd order, but once it arrived, the buyer backed out. Being December, I think the dealer wanted it off their books for the calendar year, and I think perhaps the guy placed a non-refundable deposit on it, allowing me to get it for cheaper than any USED Huracan on Auto Trader! Win!!

Wow, cannot beat a clean black car. Looks incredible - far cleaner than the matte black one I see the valets in my building tearing up everyday lol!

Car goals.

Thanks guys...*blushing*

I was always the guy that swore that I'd live in a shack if it meant I could drive a nicer car. Thankfully, my wife and I don't have to do that, haha. I am very thankful for our lot in life, that's for sure.

Have a great week, all!

Alex - how do you know for sure that 436m [F 7.5" ET45mm & R 8" ET52mm] will fit over M2/3/4 brakes F 380mm and R 370mm ? BP

As mentioned I said they "should" fit. because it doesn't seem that the calipers are any larger than the current M235i, the only part that may be larger is the discs but I'd imagine they will still clear an 18" rim.

Wasn't expert fact, just my most knowledgeable opinion!

Then again not sure why someone would ever put 436M's on an M2...it would look incredibly awkward

Alex,

Thread below shows the difference between 340mm and 370/380mm calipers

http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1231761

I have just upgraded my brakes to blue 370/380 fronts and 370/345 MPBBK rotors all round - here's how they look behind 461m alloys - whilst there's room I think moving the caliper out another 5mm/1/4" for the M2 rotors may be an issue.

Interesting!

As mentioned, not sure why anyone would put a 7.5" and 8" rim with a high offset on the M2 either way...it's going to look very odd with how high the offset of the 436M wheel, and how wide the M2 fenders are along with how low the M2 offsets are in comparison to the 436M

So what if one went with spacers?

I'm just hoping to use my existing wheels with the winter rubber on them - they are virtually brand new, and it would save some hassle

As long as the brakes clear the barrel of the wheel, throw some spacers on and you'll have a perfect winter set.
