Check out Morningstar, and search for mutual funds. 5-7% is easy peasy.

+1 on Vanguard. Over 7% return over last 5 years.

I knew nothing about investing and how to get solid returns just a few years ago. This site really helped me get started. Tons of good information.

Vanguard is an excellent suggestion, as others have said.

Savings accounts are worthless these days, so choices are either spend the $ and enjoy, or save in the market.

There's a 3rd option in our case, given our location: Real estate

Mutual funds are really good for younger people. Leave a good amount in there for 20-30 years and you're sitting on a ton of cash and possible early retirement.

58 and I've heard the mid life crisis, looking for young new wife jokes, too many times to count. I guess it's due to me owning a G35 coupe and 370Z 6mt (past 10 years) both with mild mods added.

Unfortunately for these people, they'll truly never understand, that while getting to your destination is the goal. Living, is all about the journey getting there

At 31, I'm calling this my pre-life crisis
I'm 25. I called it my quarter life crisis

40 here. Will be my first M car, third BMW. Can't wait for my allocation! Can't quite justify the price of an M3, but the M2 is perfect.

27 years old here. Not single, but no wife, kids or debt and it fits my golf clubs, so the m2 is the perfect car.
