After 5+ years of owning a 2011 e92 m3 I sold my car and just placed an order for a 2017 M2. The specs are as follows:

172R M2 Coup
C16 Long Beach Blue Metallic
LCNL Black Dakota Leather
ZEC. Executive Package
2MK. M-DCT
6CP. Apple Car Play
Z08. M Performance Package
Z32. Illuminated Door Sills
ZC1. Black Side Grills

I am thinking of adding the carbon fiber option for the M-DCT gear shifter and the carbon fiber rear diffuser.....

This is the first car I have ever custom ordered. I am waiting for my production number! Let the agony begin!

I agree. Got them as well. Those should be standard on this car though. It's sad that my old civic SI and my Golf R had stainless pedals standard yet BMW can't seem to do that on any of their cars...

M door projectors? I'm surprised with the illuminated door sills but not the projectors.

I'd personally add the black kidney grills, CF diffuser, and spoiler. Adds a ton of sexiness to the car.

If you are in the US, BMW USA accessories has both the stainless pedal covers and the LED projectors half price with their Black Friday to Cyber Monday promotion. 11/29/16 is the last day you can purchase and then they give you ~2 weeks to send in the rebate (I sent mine in online). I ordered both as well as a couple of other things half price (hat, license plate frame) after the rebate. I believe the LED projectors come with multiple options for the image -- I'll go with the M logo. My AW, 6 speed, Exec, CarPlay M2 is scheduled to complete production 12/1! I'll install both myself when it arrives.

Agree. In terms of aesthetic options, those are the big ones.

Get the M Performace Package it includes the Performance exhaust with carbon fiber tips, rear spoiler, black kidney grills. It's $5100 you save $600 over ordering everything separate.

I ordered the projectors and license plate frame too! They were a great deal! I tried submitting the rebate online but the M2 does not come up under 2017 vehicles. What model did you put? Also, what did you upload as proof of purchase? I did not receive a confirmation email after placing my order.

On the form, I listed 2 series and uploaded a picture of my PayPal email receipt at the end of the online form. I also double checked the part number to be sure the pedals were for a manual and included the last 7 of the VIN on my order.

The M2 is a great car. If you are willing to wait a couple more years, you could get yourself into an M2 CS. Just saying so you have all the information to make an informed decision.

Usually the longer you wait, the tastier the food.

I saw the projectors, I thought they were kinda cheesy. The illuminated door sills are nice, I had them port installed on my M2.

I tried to order some stuff too and didn't get a confirmation email but the charge shows pending on my credit card. Called my dealer and got transferred to some "internet sales" guy and had to leave a voicemail. No one has called me back.

Ok, actually that charge is no longer showing up on my credit card and neither is a charge for another order I had placed earlier in the day for which I did receive an email confirmation.

I know about the M2 CS. If you always wait for the next car coming along you will never have anything to drive. The current M2 is a fantastic car. I'm very happy with my decision and can't wait for it to arrive!
