I did euro delivery on 6/1. Car arrived in Atlanta on 7/6. Almost to 1200 mile service. If there are any other M2 owners in the area, I'm doing blood mountain tomorrow or Sunday. Car is great so far. Missed the diff issue by one day.

The enzo tune is awesome...Made my car about the same speed as a stock M3/M4 if im on a 30% e85 blend...and that's without turning up the boost at all.. The car has been in the body shop but I get it back next week and I have a JB4, Nitrous Kit, H&R lowering springs, and QTP Exhaust valve which is basically a valve that gives you a 3" exhaust dump immediately after the 4" VRSF DP... On order AA intercooler, BMS Chargepipe w methbung, BMS Methanol kit... The NOX is just going to be a simple 25-50 shot sprayed on the i/c for now, ive had some experience with this and aside from adding a lot of power on a car like the m2 that heat soaks very quickly, some of that NOX gets sucked in the intake duct and adds some nice power... I have an AEM wideband O2 on order and between that and the failsafe mechanisms on the JB4 Ill be very careful not to allow the engine to lean out too much... Goal is to super cool a small but efficient FMIC with Nitrous (or eventually C02 bc its cheaper) have enzo further calibrate my ecu with the added tunability of the JB4 and raising the boost to 18-21 while keeping IATs very close to ambient temps....If we can accomplish this, and we can keep timing advanced significantly this car is going to be an absolute BEAST and lag will be non existent. Ill have some dyno charts and results within the next few weeks/months and Ill see many of you at some of the big events coming up

Once at about 600 miles then I'll start posting impressions. One thing I can say for sure is that the F87 is very quick but, unlike the F80, not viciously so. Neither good nor bad, just it's very apparent. I'm abiding by the breakin rules, but this is obvious. So far it feels a lot like my beloved ZHP did during it's break-in.

Mine is not even in production yet but it will be a NO options car that is stripped and tracked often after the 1,200 mile break in from PCD to Austin. 1st mods will be larger FMIC, M coil-overs or similar (Ohlins or Bilstein), camber plates for front camber, new shoes with Bridgestone RE71Rs or Michelin Sport Cup 2s, better brake pads, Castrol SRF brake fluid, 1 Recaro with interior and trunk strip, and harness bar/harness.
Track only, no DD. |
