Good luck bro, and I'll put up my damage pics on my mod journal when I get to work...heres a slow motion video of the crash (my reaction is funny)

Damn that driver screwed up. Dash cam paying out right there

I'm not hating on you, but you could have avoided that accident. The other guy shouldn't have gone, but:
  • You should have seen them if you were observing
  • You would have stopped before hitting them even if you saw them late, if you'd committed to a full panic stop and used ABS
  • Even if you didn't panic stop, observation and awareness would have given you a place to safely bail either left or right of them

Again, no hate, no criticism, but this is an example of how a defensive driving course can pay for itself. It's like special forces training to stay one step ahead of the universe's idiots. Totally worth it to keep your car undamaged

I'm pretty sure that when I die I'll be wearing a t shirt and basketball shorts, probably because I'll be the 75 year old dude balling out at the YMCA. Great fundamentals.

I thought so too, at first, but you have to keep in mind that this is in slow motion.

But you are right, defensive driving can avoid a lot of accidents even when it's not your fault.

My daughter (20) seems to get in an accident every other week but they are legally never her fault. I still ask her what she is doing wrong and tell her that she needs to not only worry about what she is doing but also pay attention to other drivers. I'm convinced that some of her wrecks could have been avoided if she was just paying more attention to her surroundings. Oh well, she is young and hopefully will learn.

I have also thought if this is the reason for Adam's "bad luck" with his M2 so far. Don't kill me Adam, it just crossed my mind a time or two. LOL!

Haha I mean I understand what you mean, but this coyote was suicidal. It jumped from a bush into my bumper when I was in the right lane. Literally no time to react.

With that being said, I got my car back today, and what can I say, it's freaking perfect.

They polished the bumper, and I don't know how, but now the colors match exactly. Literally perfect.

Car is 100% and nothing less.

At the end of the day, it felt like taking delivery for the first time all over again. Really puts things in perspective. I think now when I fire up that straight six every day I'll have an even bigger smile on my face. Today was an awesome day.

My dad once used to be a defensive driving instructor. The skills you learn need to become automatic so you can react without thinking, knowing where you have room to move and the position of vehicles around you, that kind of thing. That won't happen on its own. If you leave it, bad habits will become ingrained and what may be worse is that she will model her driving around things she may feel she can't change. If you can, consider booking her in for a course, and then again in 6 months. Once my kids get old enough to drive, I plan on doing the same. While cars may be safer, most people are still just as bad at driving them.

Also, I'm really glad that Adem1534 can go back to rocking his sweet threads in his awesome car.

Hmm that's definitely Xenon is it? I see the Orange turn signal builds and also don't see Icon Adaptive LED signage (plus no LED yet in the M2).

So it's some aftermarket light upgrade to LED or something? Is this the part coming out...or going in?
