BMW CCA membership = free money, kinda.
Every time I buy a new or certified pre-owned BMW, which is probably too often, I get a check for $500 from the BMW CCA, can't beat that I just put a Dinan tune on my 328xiT and saved $170, just for being a CCA member. There have been a couple times where I've been at the dealer getting something done and they'll say, "Sorry, that's the best price we can do." And I say, "But I'm a CCA member." And they say, "Oh, in that case you get 10% off." lol

Awesome stuff. Glad I joined.
Is Roundel a real print magazine or is it an online magazine? |

It's a real print magazine. It comes monthly. It's as nice a feel and quality as Bimmer mag if not better. You also get a digital version as well if you are an iPad/tablet user |

Ha, mine begins with a zero; I've been a member since 1980. My 88 year old father has been a member since 1972 with a 0022xx member number.

Just to pile on here: If you're in the US, and you're enough of an enthusiast to be on a forum like this one, why are you *not* a member?
Our chapter runs two driving schools each year, plus a bunch of autocrosses, an ice gymkhana, and several organized group drives. My local dealer gives me enough of a discount on parts that I rarely order stuff on line, plus, I've received a couple of grand in loyalty rewards from BMWNA over the years. And yeah, the magazine does not suck. If anyone wants to use me as a reference, PM me. |

Sucks that you can't download the app on a phone. I have the 6S Plus which is plenty big to enjoy the mag.

There actually is a BMW CCA app , but I don't believe that you can get the Roundel via it. That's a good suggestion however, you should let the good folks at National know |

I always buy cars that were excluded from the discounts but still enjoy being s member. You also get discounts for parts and services at your dealer. I did the BMW CCA only M school which was awesome since we were all enthusiasts at the class and they threw us a nice dinner with an open bar....plus at that time it was 20% off.

I was at Lime Rock last weekend for the IMSA races and there was a BMWCCA stand with information and applications. After reading about the club on this forum, the first thing I did when I arrived at Lime Rock was to complete my registration and join. There are a LOT of reasons to join, most described in posts above. For $42 a year it was a no-brainer. As someone posting above wrote, if you participate in this forum at all, you should be a member. Can't wait for the track time next summer at Lime Rock Park and two other tracks, one in New Jersey and the other in southern Mass.

Plus, now that you're an M pilot, you're overdue to get to Drivers Ed. Do you like the idea of lapping Texas Motor Speedway or COTA in your car? If not, please sell it to someone who does and return to an X model.

...Not to be confused with M schools which are very expensive affairs. BMWCCA schools are run by local members with volunteer instructors that have been vetted by the local program. They tend to run $200-$400/day depending on the track you're on.
If you get to be serious "track head" you start to go on road trips to experience different ones. My favorites are Mt Tremblant and Mid Ohio. It's nice to be able to open by rear doors and dump in my track tires for the long weekends. I suppose a trailer would be OK, though 1300 mi. round-trip weekends to tracks are a little harder to pull off. |

I am a member mostly because BMWCCA autocross requires it. The Roundel is ok, I guess.
Looking forward to being able to use my discount on a new M car someday (assuming those aren't excluded). Feel free to use me as a ref 485592

How often do they publish the magazine? I've been a member for a month now and have yet to receive one. I've been looking forward to it.

Monthly. It usually comes in the first week of issue month for me. You can view it online too once you are a member.

It is a monthly publication. If you just joined it might take a couple of months before you receive your first issue. Definitely worth the wait though.
