Didn't notice it on the M2 i tested not to much at least, But what i did notice was the power seats sat higher up then the manual seats in my 235 when lowered to the maximum if you are one of those who really likes sitting low in your car don't be surprised if you haver power seats that you will sit a bit higher up even when lowered to the maximum.

Since the seats in the US M2 are power seats , they may not go as low as you would like compared to manual seats. If you had manual seats in the Z4 then that's probably what you are noticing. The sense of sitting up hitting high apparently was fairly pronounced in the 1M luxury package cars that had power seats, so much that many owners opted for manual after trying both. |

Probably the fastest car by far, but it's so difficult to drive fast. It's more like work than fun. And no matter how cold you set the A/C on the roads, if you drive it hard your right leg will melt off, I swear.

I have a manual m4 now, but had a auto m235i and yes the seat is crooked. I don't see why m2 would be diff as same seat and interior. It is noticeable, but only annoying if your ocd gets the best of you (aka prob most of us car people). I still enjoyed my m235i crooked seat and all so doesn't have to be a deal breaker. I have to say though that my only real complaints on that car were it needed snappier downshifts, a more stiff suspension and a better back end of car and m2 seems to have fixed those issues so car is a winner as far as I'm concerned. The auto seats didn't go low enough I found and the m4 seats are a little lower. Another observation....I found that driving stick shift you are sitting closer to wheel and more upright so amplifies feeling of being not low enough. So DCT may help a tad if you aren't short and like the feeling of being "in" the car not on "top".

If taking a picture cannot visually describe how crooked the seat is than its probably not an issue for 99 percent of people.
I have yet to see a picture showing how the crooked seat looks like. I even sat in an M2 a month ago and did not notice anything out of the ordinary while sitting in it. If the seat doesn't look like this then I'm happy.

I just noticed that even my m4 seat is very slightly crooked as well but not as bad as m235i was. It was noticeable in the 2er but not so in the m4. I still think the m2 is amazing regardless so I wouldn't get to worried about this issue. It's great car for money and I use to have a JCW mini and loved that smaller nimble feeling so M2 is special in BMW lineup.

This sucks. I can only imagine how this will drive me nuts.
This and the lease rates, I may be better off getting an m4.

I spent a while on a test drive in an M235 and I guess I was having such fun blasting around that the seat angle never bothered me. Ordered a Mineral Gray M2 and I'm looking forward to blasting around in it....had a hundred cars so far in my life and I can't imagine the seat being off a bit will be a deal breaker..

Bucket seats can be really annoying when you drop something through the right side. Sometimes it gets lodged, sometimes it falls through. You got to literally put your head upside down to find it and it can take a minute to find or your car weighs indefinitely an ounce extra. Bucket seats are better than bench seats though. So I'm glad BMW decided on that for the M2.

After seeing the Motortrend video and at delivery, I commented to my CA, "hey, they were right, the seat is slightly crooked to the left". He just looked at me puzzled and then activated the Sirius XM. Then I drove it and forgot all about it...
