Any of you local folks know which of these is best for servicing?
picked up the car and got the 1200 mile service from stevens creek. definitely NOT happy with them and ripped them to shreds on the survey. they're only about a mile from my home and that's the only reason i haven't gone elsewhere.

I didn't realise you were so close. I have met up with Shockwave93 before; his is a LBB 6MT 2017 and is close to us as well.

I may have seen you actually. At some point last week I think it was, I saw a MG M2 going up Lawrence Expy, right on Tasman, and then cutting through the industrial roads and off up Great America Pkway towards 237.

We should try and arrange a get together of Bay Area M2s with owners on here... once my car arrives!

Stay Within Defined BMW VISCOSITY Range

Just follow the BMW Specs and Viscosity Range
.
It is telling that Motul, Liqui Moly, Mobile 1 and Pennzoil all recommend a 40 weight oil for the N55 and N55 Variant (M2) as the preferred oil viscosity.

If you live in a cold climate where temps are regularly below 20F then choose the thinner oil spec within the range which BMW has defined.

Here in the HOT South (garaged car) a 5W-40 may just be the optimal solution.

The BMW 0W-30 would serve as a broad spectrum - one size fits all lubricant.

Your particular location may warrant and be better served by a thinner or thicker oil.

Cheers

Did they not change your differential fluid? I don't see it listed on the invoice
